Looks like one of those vintage Japanese fans, especially the front grille.

Yes they use that same motor for the box fans. Only difference is the housings they incase the stater in. To work with the different mounting. I do agree about the grills. They are a pain to put on. I think they should go back to the plastic real and metal front. Personally.

I'd agree about the guards.. Those were much easier to work with..

@@JordanU Some of the newer Lasko pedestal fans, usually the more expensive ones with the 4 and 5 speeds, have that grill type. The front is metal, and the rear is plastic. Assembly is a lot more simple with those. June 21, 2019 7:04 PM

I've noticed that as of at least 2019, Lasko has updated the design of the grill snaps. There's no more tabs; you just push the front grill onto the rear grill. The updated design has been implemented on at least the Cyclone S18902 pedestal fan and the Lasko model 2520. And one more observation: The diameter of the front grill on this new design is just a little bit smaller than the diameter of the rear grill. No way that this new design could be hard to put together.

*I like how quiet it is, how well it works and **Fastly.Cool** , This was perfect to help air out a guest room and to use instead of AC when I only want one room kept cool. Works great!*

I'd recommend the 1827 pedestal fan over this one..

I have this fan its a nice fan run good only problem is it get dusty easy that if you run it a lot.

thinking replacing my tower fan with pedastal. Do you recommend lasko or pelonis when comes to fans?

This certainly isn't their best model, but I think Lasko is a decent value for what it is.

I wouldn't touch that fan with a ten foot pole the reason why is the speed control makes no difference and mine stopped working after one month after I got it.

Even a lasko 2526 nice but how they work because I have one and I love nice air though but I'm a Australian boy so I have different fans here

These are the cheaper Lasko fans. The more expensive ones are usually better, but not the best. At least better in quality. Longevity is still a question.

As long as you keep them clean, they seem to hold up for a while..
