I'm speechless - I didn't think this doll was possible. To the AG fans out there who don't gatekeep, thank you a thousand times over for sharing the link that made my newest doll possible. She's absolutely everything I hoped for and I can't stop staring at her!
Here's the unboxing playlist I mentioned at the end of the video (which, for some reason, didn't show up on screen).

The one I'm most excited about is a darkest Kaya with a curly hi-top, a dark Jess, and a medium (just not sure which medium is the least like actual Kaya's colouring) Kaya; in that order.

I totally agree with you, @@agtakesover ! The rumors of the next Girl of the Year 2024 do not allow me to be very optimistic bout this :( With the latest Historical or the World By Us dolls, they could have shown us the love they have for Addy by using her face mold... But nothing has happened. From my country I am very far from what the AG community talks about this topic... Wouldn't it be nice to have a meeting in some AG store and everyone take an Addy doll in their arms? LOL... #AddyWalkerRevolution ♥

I'm very happy for you! Nora is beautiful! Tgank you for sharing your joy with us! I purchased several CYO dolls from the time they first hit the market through 2020. Plenty of them had issues mainly bad eyes, when they were using the "new" eyes, and thin hair. But I did get some good ones as well. I wouldn't mind having that back door link!

Oh my she is absolutely gorgeous. Congratulations on receiving her. She looks beautiful in her new outfit. I always get my dolls ears pierced when I order a new doll, though some historicals don't get that option, something about that not being a thing in their era. That info caused a whole rabbithole search, in Claudie day they used screw earrings, pierced was considered too risque.

Thanks! I absolutely adore her. And I wasn't even sure what you meant by screw earrings, but when I looked it up I was like, "Oh yeah, that's a variant of a clip-on that I've seen before." Not exactly an option for the AG dolls lol.

Nora is so cute! Congrats! I love this mold, this may be my next doll. Like your excitement when opening the box. I somehow missed this video. This video is dated the same day as my granddaughter’s 13th birthday. I gave her a CYO doll, she loves it. I saw a cat go by, cute and nice coloring! 😻

The new freckle pattern is SO great! You definitely hit a home run with her design. The Addy mold is one of my favorites, for sure. It’s so special. I’d love for them to create another named character with it someday, even if that’s a pipe dream. I don’t know if I’ll ever make a CYO, but the thought of being able to “secretly” combine the new freckles with the old bangs is making it VERY tempting 😂

I wish the generator gave a more accurate picture of what you can expect so it wouldn't feel like such a gamble, but luckily this gamble paid off.

She turned out BEAUTIFULLY. I'm so glad that both you and Grace got your dolls - it's been a nail biter! The Addy mold is just perfection; they really, really need to do more with it. I love the new freckle pattern, too, and they look adorable on her. Also, I know that apparently bangs are very "blergh" in terms of fashion or whatever, but as someone who has had bangs my entire life and thinks they look SO CUTE on dolls - we need more bangs options! I'm so sad we don't have more. As for next CYO - it'll depend on some of the last planned dolls are. I am looking to add at least one more Addy mold to my collection (as I currently only have Addy) and have either 26 or 58 on my list. A CYO I am contemplating is a dark-skinned Kaya mold with the short natural curls, but if I were to get a 58, I wouldn't necessarily want the same hairstyle. But I think, if I someday want a new CYO, it would be a dark-skinned Kaya mold with freckles, hairstyle TBD.

She is wonderful!! I love your reaction when you first see her. So much joy!! I'm thinking that you don't have a #11 and your goal was to create her, but with freckles (because all dolls need freckles). :) Grace's new girl is gorgeous as well. Thanks for telling the whole back story. They are so sweet. If I made a CYO, she would look like my Brynlee: Jess mold, red hair, green eyes, freckles. But I don't need one since I have Brynlee. :)

Yeah, Nora was definitely an homage to #11 (but I didn't want to copy her outright because I'm hopeful that someday I'll get an actual 11). I am absolutely thrilled with her. And I agree that your Jess mold combo would be tempting (IF we could get the old Jess mold still ;-)

@@agtakesover Good plan re: the #11. And re: the Jess mold, the other big IF is those eye sockets. You just never know what you're going to get. Much safer with the Addy mold. You and Grace were smart to go that route.

I will, alomg with the Halloween pictures but dont expect alot I am not a very good photographer. This is all a new way of interacting with the dolls I never thought of changing them from their original form or taking pictures. It was just a display thing for me with the historical dolls and playing with the truley me girl of the year dolls. Now I purchased an addy mold and a kaya that i want ro rewig and I have a cecile and her hair is a mess and I tried everything and the hair feels like straw so I want to rewig her. One thing at a time. for now my plan is to glue down the wig. @@agtakesover

What was the quantity issues that the princess dolls have? I didn't understand what you were saying when you showed the princess doll picture side by side to your new cyo doll who's beautiful by the way

If you pause the video when I showed that picture, you can see that the eyelashes on the doll's right eye go straight up and the lashes on the left stick straight out. It makes an otherwise beautiful doll look really weird to me, so I'm glad Nora didn't have that issue.

Yep - there's a picture of them side by side at the end of this video. Their hair color, eye color, and skin tone are different but in other ways they're identical.

To my knowledge, it does not. Curse them finding out about and closing the back doors. If I ever find another workaround in the future, I'll update the description of this video and do a community post about it.

TM 11 and TM 45 are the two Addy face molds with straight hair and bangs. 11 has single line eyebrows and 45 has multiple line eyebrows. Neither has freckles.

So glad that you had a happy experience with Nora. It’s so disappointing to wait and hope and wonder for so long and get that oh, no, sinking feeling. I’ve never seen eyelashes that went straight out like that before. I haven’t gotten a doll since last Christmas so maybe it’s a new thing? Nora us super beautiful and I love her in the non AG clothes you put her in.

Her eyelashes don't go straight out. They're the typical ones AG makes these days - that go out and then turn sharply up at the very end. I *do* miss the more natural curve of earlier dolls, but I'm happy these are at least symmetrical!

She was actually designed with 11 in mind. I would still like to get an 11 someday, so I didn't want to try to recreate her exactly. But she's definitely inspired by 11's combo :-)
