Thanks for another great video to welcome the Christmas holiday season, RJ! Couldn't be more appropriate than having the Polar Express running around a tree in the living room. Great quality on the video, too, from a smart phone. I didn't think you could get that kind of quality from a smart phone. When I commented on the sound on the video before this one, I unintentionally sounded ungrateful for your efforts. Nothing could be further from the truth! Awesome! I have the conventional set from 2009 plus a second tender and two add on cars.

I have the first GEN conventional Polar Express. And while it is very simple compared to the LC version it was also under $200 back in the day. So mine only running at Christmas it not over used.....but still a very nice looking, running set. You did well going with the LC set as the scale, nice loco, is WAY too much for me anyway! Thx

Best Christmas movie of all time

I've got one of the original sets from 2004/5. There was a dock worker's strike in CA that year and they were hard to get but my dad got one. It runs great. Just has an air whistle. I've got all the extra cars and I will say, pulling all those cars, up steep hills, and at track speed did burn the motor up. I know they had issue with the first PE's motors but I'm sure I didn't help matters. Glad you finally got one. One more thing. Unless they have changed it, the decorative whistle on the engine breaks off very easily. I broke mine off with in the first few years I had it. Merry Christmas!

This set makes Christmas. I picked it up last year, only downside is wanting all the add ons which required a bigger layout around the tree haha. Thought about the legacy version but wasn't a fan of the cars or the price just for a Christmas train. May upgrade to the newer engine in the future if they happen to make it again

A “family friend” bought a PWC 773 Hudson that he let a friend convince him was junk. My Dad bought it and 14 years later all we’ve had to do to it was oil, Lube, and new tires

Hi, is there a on/off switch to turn off the smoke unit? Does the smoke also puff out of the sides of the locomotive?

Anyone know how to get back the sounds on this 2021 Lionchief Polar Express? The sounds worked for the last week and now as of this morning, 12/18/2022, no more sounds and can't find anything on forums, Google or KZfaq on how to attempt a fix for this. I've tried the Bluetooth app, replacing remote controls batteries, disconnecting the engine from the coal tenders connections with both power on and off. Still nothing.

I have a few berks in my collection. I have one lionel 736 the rest is MTH.The first is a railing Erie berkshire.Next is a C&O berkshire.Next is the L &N big Emma number 1967.The year I checked in this world.I have another C&O this one has sound.I have other steamers mountain type and northerns.The first railing C&O pulled a freight train of 42 boxcars.If you want to check it out its at 889ts. I was in a model home at the time.Or check out other trains at eric oxner I have a santa fe Northern pulling a freight train.I would love to get my hand on a scale 1225.But I feel like you I can not see dropping almost 2 grand for one locomotive.

RJ - does the engine produce smoke like that out of the box? Seems so much better than the original Polar Express.

I'm so happy the scale legacy version isn't exactly accurate to the movie😂, only happy because I don't have the urge to drop over a grand on it, the legacy version is more like the real life train, but not as accurate to the movie version as the 2.0 or 5.0, like the legacy version doesn't even have a whistle, like c'mon

I have the Polar Express in four different scales. 1. O Gauge Polar Express Christmas of 2006 2. G Gauge Polar Express Bought at Toys R Us in 2008 3. HO Gauge Polar Express Christmas of 2016 4. American Flyer Polar Express Christmas of 2018 My favorite Polar Express product from Lionel has to be American Flyer because it's much more realistic than the O Gauge Polar Express. Plus it's more like the movie. I got mine for Christmas two years ago. When I first got the locomotive out of the box and removing the packing from the pilot truck and the trailing truck of the locomotive the pilot truck wheels are coming off and then we got the wheels snapped back on but there was another problem. The copper strip is not touching the front wheels and it was causing a short when we put it on the track but we finally got it to work but there was another problem. While my Dad was putting the washer that holds the pilot truck wheels on the locomotive the screw that holds it disinigrates. So we had to use epoxy to glue the screw back on and after two hours of drying we finally got it to work again. The set was brand new and everything works fine but Lionel assemble the front pilot truck on the locomotive the wrong way during manufacturing of the set. But anyway I like this American Flyer Polar Express Bluetooth Set. It's so much better than the previous American Flyer Polar Express set. Why do I say that. Because if you look in GWR Studios video he did an unboxing video of the American Flyer Polar Express. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hdmDn7yirZnRkZc.html His set came with the Hot Chocolate Diner Car, Coach Car and Observation Car. But the funny thing about the Hot Chocolate Diner Car and Coach Car is that in the Hot Chocolate Diner Car there is not a single waiter or chef passing out the Hot Chocolate to all the passengers and in the Coach Car there is not a single passenger in the window. I don't know why Lionel chose to do that. Mine is different compare to GWR Studio's set. My set came with the Abandoned Toy Car, Coach Car and Observation Car. Just like my Lionel O-Gauge Polar Express that I got for Christmas back in 2006.
