I KNEW you were gonna say "pine sol!" I bought their Forest Pine and I'm not getting a "Christmas" scent out of it all that much as just... a generic pine scent? However, I LOVE Aztec's "All Around the Tree" and "Christmas tree Farm" and can't commit to which one smells MOST like Christmas pine to me. I'm also digging FLaming Candle's "Frazier Fir." Still, I've been rEALLY loving Wellington's Campfire and Creme' Brulee as well as their freaking phenomenal Fresh Cut Grass. I've made sprays of Campfire, Fresh Cut Grass and Frazier Fir and I spray my bedding with them every night. yum. It's like camping without the dirt. Except that there's also "DIRT" which I'll make a spray out of next. why not?

Great information! Thank you! Even though I went back to purchasing Fir Needle from my first source, I have to say that the Fir Needle from Wellington is turning out nice enough in the soap, but I still think that the Essential Depot one might be better.

How do you mix fragrance oils when one, is 10% of your oils and the other is 5% of your oils
@lathersforlife73893 жыл бұрын
Well... I don't think I've run into that exact dilemma, but if I did, I would probably do the 5% math for one fragrance, and then use 1/2 of the number I came up with, and then do the 10% math for the other, and then use 1/2 of that one, assuming that you meant that you wanted to use both fragrance oils in in your soap, together... is that what you mean? If so, that's how I would do it. Happy Soaping!

Would you recommend using these for candles?

Possibly, but I never made candles. Still, they would possibly be good in candles.

How was the rose fragrance oil?
@lathersforlife73893 жыл бұрын
The rose is good, but I don't recommend the Fir Needle. Just so you know. I think Essential Depot's Fir Needle is the better choice. But Rose from Wellington is fine.

How much fragrance per 1 lbs of soap?
@lathersforlife73893 жыл бұрын
Personally, my soap loaves weigh less than 5 and a half pounds when complete, and in that is approximately 2 oz. of fragrance. If you are a new soaper, you may check out "Soaping101" on KZfaq to learn more. That's one of the channels that helped me when I got started some years ago.

Should always refer to IFRA document for % in specific product. Bar soap is Category 9 and will vary per distributor as well as per fragrance.
