Күн бұрынi've been after this edition of the DS for a while now and finally one popped up that ticked all the boxes! i picked up a 3DS XL late last year but wasn't a huge fan of the 3DS function. after spending a lot more time looking into the various DS varieties I came across this one - the 'new' version of the 2DS XL and fell absolutely in love - i'm obsessed and i think i found one in pretty good condition too!

ah thank you so much! yeah me too, i’m down a nostalgia rabbit hole 😅 i think i only ever had the DS lite when i was younger but i absolutely loved it. facebook marketplace have some pretty cheap ones!

Awesome video! 👍🏽👍🏽 It kinda sucks that the 3DS eShop (and Wii U eShop) will be closing soon. Luckily, I got the games I haven't played before on the eShop on my original Nintendo 2DS before they're closing. I'll probably downloaded some of the demos later today. Nice content btw😊👍🏽❤

@@gamingwithrach Mostly Pokémon. I got Pokémon X, Omega Ruby, Ultra Moon and I've also got Virtual Console of the original Pokémon Game Boy games like RBY/GSC. Also, my other favorite 3DS games are Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land, Super Smash Bros, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, One Piece: Unlimited World Red, Fire Emblem Fates, Yo-Kai Watch and Monster Hunter Stories. I'll probably get more JRPG games on the eShop and also get Fantasy Life and Ever Oasis. 😊

@@YoshiPlays ooh yeah i just downloaded the GB Red Yellow & Blue! i got pokémon violet for christmas but really wanna play them all through from the beginning before i play it. i’ll definitely look into some of them, i keep seeing fire emblems popping up, is it worth playing?

I found a new 2ds xl white and orange for a decent price and it works just fine! The only problem is it’s starting to get really dirty. Also i though the lavender color was japan only. How did you find this?

yeah i think it's luck of the draw sometimes! i thought this was decent price then out of the blue 2 more became available a week later on fb and both were cheaper, just my luck. nope - it was available worldwide I believe, i just don't think there's a lot of them, especially for sale these days too. when I was originally looking on ebay the majority of them were from Japan / the LL version, i just kept checking ebay and facebook marketplace until one I liked came up! but it was definitely few and far between 😊

When I got a replacement orange and white 2ds from Nintendo I noticed the top screen is slightly darker/ blue? I was wondering if yours is the same? It may just be how the 2ds was made.

i hadn't noticed it but just switched it on to have a look and there's definitely a bluer tint to the top screen when compared to the bottom one, and it appears ever so slightly darker so i think you might be right, it might just be how the 2DS XL is 😊 hope that helps!

i found this one on facebook! a shop called Kirkby Sales & Exchange had it for sale :) CeX also sell them but are a lot more expensive than what i paid, then there’s eBay too!

@@closetGaming587 i have a modded new 3ds xl with a bunch of virtual consoles etc on them, and oh boy let me tell you it runs so well! No waiting/loading screens at all! Absolute beast of a handheld. Only thing that bothers me a bit is that you have to take off the backplate everytime to get new games and stuff on your SD, and that you can't customize the front/backplates like on the regular new 3ds. But the performance and speed makes me overlook that effortlessly.

Hello, please, could you help me? I don't understand how Streetpass work. Do I have to have the Streetpass software opened, or like going to the home menu but not closing it? Or can I close it? Also, do I have to be connected to a WIFI network or WIFI hot-spot? Or do I only have to have the WIFI switched on, but I don't have to have it actually connect to a WIFI? Or do I have to switch off the WIFI? Please, answer!

@@AisosahereAll you need to know to use street pass is just close the screen. Thats it. Don't turn it off cause then it won't work. And no you don't need Internet. The console itself emits a special signal that allows it to connect with other 3ds systems.

Also you can just stay on the home screen. (Also also, the screen has to be closed in order for it to work, otherwise it won't connect)

@@gamingwithrach The US… and while I couldn’t find one on the FB marketplace I was able to get one off of EBay a few days ago, though I do wish they had the color option I wanted… (Japan had this red and black one I’ve been eyeing for a while)

@@gamingwithrach The Red and Black “New” 2DS XL/LL had Mario Kart 7 installed (and is region locked). In the US we had the Black and Turquoise with that instead. If I ever get my hands on that one… I’ll totally mod it XD

i can only speak about the 2DS XL and 3DS XL cos they’re the consoles i have, but i could get why people would say that. hand in hand it feels flimsier than the 3DS XL, it’s lighter too which i don’t know if that adds to it, but it doesn’t deter me personally. the 3DS XL does feel a lot sturdier / chunkier but i personally prefer to play my 2DS XL over my 3DS XL ☺️

it's not new as in a brand new unopened model, it's 'new' as in that's the name of the model :) i actually got pretty lucky with this one, i found it on facebook marketplace & avoided the pricey ebay ones
