For the amount of money surefire goes for, they should at least include a pressure pad like Streamlight

I agree dropping 500 for a light setup is expensive but my streamlight is iffy at best. atleast with surefire I know it will always work and it'll be the last thing I have too buy

If you shop around, you can get a good deal on them. Surefire knows people will pay what they are asking, hence why they dont offer one with it. Just like HK stuff is expensive as hell. They know people will pay for it.

I was thinking of getting this and throwing a $19 18650 lion usb rechargeable in there for the full 1500lumen and then use the (2) 123's for my Eotech spares in the grip. Brownells has the 'hard to get' Unity hot buttons in stock

Rechargeables can sometimes be annoying, especially if one dies on you when you need it most. I tend to stick with either the Surefire red 123s or Duracell Procell batteries. I’ve not used an 18650 in this yet, nor did I know I could. I will have to check that out! The other reason I’ve stuck with 123s is, like you, I run an EOTech that uses them and store them in my B5 stock.

Great review brother, hey so can you remove that mount or is permanent? I ordered the m600df but does not come with that new low pro file mount…

It is permanent on the Scout light pro but honestly there is no need to use a different mount as you can articulate close in or farther away from the handguard. You can also swap it from left to right as well as use the picatinny or MLOK mount. The 600DF uses the old style mount that a bunch of manufacturers produce replacement mounts for. I personally recommend Arisaka Defense.

I got one of these the other day instead of another 600u. It works but the swivel part is kind of a pain in the ass. I bought it for the mlok attachment to save a few bucks but wouldn’t buy it again.

Ohh really? Why is it a pain in the ass? You know you can remove the swivel part and flip it around to mount it on the opposite side?

@@GunBoxTherapy the swivel has come loose multiple times. Other than that, I don’t know, I just don’t like it as much as something like a 600u on an arisaka mount.

I can definitely see how that would piss me off as well. I haven’t had any of those issues with the 3 640Us I have at the moment. For all three though, I did apply the same installation procedure. I’ve been using blue loctite and applying 30 in/lbs of torque to the pivot screw. Also blue loctite and 35 in/lbs to the MLOK pieces. This last part is per the Magpul MLOK pamphlet (metal on metal accessories). The pivot screw torque and loctite were just something I came up with.

@@sackychin6267 You should put some loctite on it. That will eliminate that issue.
