Hi Kyleen, Thankyou for watching. I'm far from an expert on lighting and these are just my opinions on what I've learned over the years. I presume the white in the name is because of the primary light colours red, green and blue combine to produce white so the diodes show white but each colour can be altered within the diode to change the kind of white it is e.g warm white, bright white etc. I try to combine the lights to focus on plant growth while still achieving a good overall aesthetics. Because most tanks are combined with lots of colours between fish and plants aswell as overall water clarity it is quite difficult to achieve. Green and red combined brings out more yellow of the spectrum but tends to make the colours looked washed out especially with the plants. Hope this helps in some way.

Hi there, It's a little too early to comment on the Chihiros but because it can be fully controlled via the app you can pretty much choose any colour tone. My favourite Twinstar is the E series and being totally honest I'm not the biggest fan of the S line.

Hey there. Definitely go for the shades. There's a lot of light spread even with a lower intensity set. I'm going to get some myself for 2 of my tanks. Quality lights, though. Bare in mind that when you add shades, the plants receive more of the light, so you may want to lower the light intensity depending on the plants you have or go for. Listen to loads, but my faves at the minute are Lamb of God, Bury Tomorrow, Orbit Culture, In Flames. Still listen to the classics in my car like Slipknot, Pantera, Trivium, etc. Love my music🤘 What's your playlist like?

@@GEORDIESCAPER Hi, again. From the comments of different videos that I've watched about Chihiros series 2 light, I'm wonder if you ever used that light and had an outage. ( which happened to me today, well few suburbs) anyway I heard that if you get an outage, it resets your light period program schedule that you did on app. So how would you get around that? Can't remember the name , but years ago there was this retangle programmable timer that you attach to your light. Would those work with this light. If I was to go that route, which one should I get? In Australua aquarium stuff is more expensive. An American i was speaking to said that nano fish cpds cost only a couple dollars, but in Australia( where I'm at) they're rare and cost $25 aud each, only a select few shops have them. So in Australia the average price for the Chihiros 6o series 2 light is $383.00 but on AliExpress it's $411.84. I couldn't even find the light shade on the Australian version. So I purchased them on ebay for $95 pair free shipping. These ones have mirrored reflectors on them ( so I'll have to turn down light even more or paint them black) So then I came across An Australian omline store where the shades for series 2 lights were a lil cheaper and it doesn't mention being mirrored ( so I don't know if theres 2 verions? cause the ones I've purshased on ebay say its for both slim and series 2, but on The australia online store- Nature Pets & Aquriums, mirrored shade for slim and and all black for series 2 ( sold out) I see we have similar taste in band. some other bands I like are: Pantera, iorn maiden, slayer, negadeth, akice in chains, Rammstein, exodus, Tool Judas priest, skayer Godsmackabd killswitch engage. @urbansk8r231 Hey there, most shades have mirrored reflectors to enhance the light, but the shade directs thar light into the aquarium and minimises the light leaking into the room. If you screenshot your settings on the app, you can reprogram me if a power outtage occurs, although I don't think this actually happens with the newer versions. You may have to reconnect vis Bluetooth, but your setting will be saved. In general, there's a difference in pricing worldwide with most products. Something in the States is cheaper than here in the UK, ADA products are less expensive in Asian countries as are Chihiros. A few years back CPDs were crazy expensive here but they slowly decreased in price as they became more readily available, I assume with more captive breeding. Ah that band list is awesome, all the stuff I grew up on. Actually seen most of them including Megadeth, Pantera and Alice in Chains in one show, unreal 🤘 Seen Slayer with Anthrax in their farewell tour not so long back.
