This channel is so great. In a month of watching I've found my childhood love for stones, gems, and minerals again. Never thought I'd start collecting at 36 years old.

Yellow gemstones were always my least favorite until now! Those are beautiful! My daughter's birthstone is citrine, and she has never liked it either. Now we have more knowledge about these stones and some are really cool now. I do prefer the paler yellows or the more orangey yellow stones, but i honestly dont dislike them anymore! Thanks!

Oh I have a tumbled smoky quartz that's incredibly clear, and very beautiful in color. I simply love that stone, I culd never have it lapidated because the shape and weight make it very special to me

Mali garnets are beautiful and yellow. I think I currently own most of the yellow stones. Garnet, citrine, topaz, sphene, sapphire, titanium, diamonds, heliodore, kunzite, yellow tanzanite and so many more that I can't even think right now.

Amazing! Straight away the song “Yellow” by Coldplay was in my head. Loved the Sphene but to see an Anglesite specimen from my country of Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 was spectacular. Thanks guys for sharing. 😀

This was a cool episode, it was nice watching them really not know right away when they were looking at and actually using their knowledge to identify the stones, great episode!

I'm allergic to Sulfur, I break out in hives, and my mom is allergic, it makes it hard for her to breathe. I hope you're doing blue gemstones next. Blue is such a beautiful color, but some shades of blue, I just can't help but stare for hours.

Some very nice euhedral specimens in this vid, thanks for sharing. Yellow is such a nice colour for gems🙂 For anyone interested, there are in fact many different types of yellow garnets to be had, including yellow andradite "topazolite" garnets, yellow pyrope garnets "quite rare", yellow umbalite "Mali garnets- andradite/grossular", yellow "Malaya garnets- pyrope/spessartine", dark yellow(brownish/orangey) hessonite garnets, and, the aforementioned yellow grossular garnets which are apparently quite rare also. As it were, some of my favourite yellow gems didn't make an appearance in the video. So many to choose from... I'm a little surprised that golden apatite didn't cross the desk. Some interesting others that deserve a mention but we're unfortunately absent would include: canary yellow diamonds, chrysoberyl, Sinhalite Australian labradorite, the very tasty looking "lemon-citron" nickel-magnesite😋, and, last but definitely not least, my favourite yellow sphalerite.

The claim that Natural Citrine is just Amethyst that has been naturally heated in the Earth is not necessarily known to be true. That is only 1 theory. There is still much debate on the topic of Natural Citrine and its coloration.

Some sphene/titanite does have stark pleochroism, but it can still be differentiated from andalusite by that crazy high birefringence, lower hardness, and different pleochroic colors (both have a great red along one axis but the titanite I have has a much more saturated green).

I find it amazing to know there're so many yellow gemstones.😯😃💛💎 It's fascinating🤔 to know how they get their yellow color(like banana🍌 yellow, lemon candy yellow🍋🍬 and sunflower🌻 yellow)and where each one of them come from. I always know there're yellow garnet and sapphire but never knew citrine was heat treated amethyst, that's amazing.🤩 I like them.😊 Also it's so obvious to know the song to the question you read.😏🎵 Anyways thanks for teaching us about them and nice video.🙂👍🧑‍🏫🟡💎
