Well they do get burgled. Thief hoping to find pup not yet castrated. Dont be that ignorant. I see the scars on my galgo every day and it hurts because he knows, when I touch them he crinshes. @@76IPV I have every right, I live in Spain and I have adopted a galgo. I do admir the new generation is more aware and do the right thing, but the reality is that many more are still in a different mind order. In 2022 still many thousands are abondoned in the campi to fend to themself. Still today all shelters have galgo's, some have specialised in this breed. All this means a lot of work in needed, we do move forward but it is going with small steps.

Both legislation and attitude has changed a lot in recent years. That said, please avoid such generalizations. Listen to the people in the documentary telling how it is Spanish people that are caring for these dogs and finding them homes.
