Officially confirmed by Eurogamer, Takeda is now Kenshi’s cousin in this new era. He liked being part of the Yakuza and was ordered to kill Kenshi, but he failed and the Shirai Ryu took him in. Now he’s a vigilante trying to take down the criminal underworld for revenge. This is why no light sabers and more Shirai Ryu focus with the teleport and his heated whips.

@@Daninput Yes! Ed Boon posted on Twitter that they will be announcing new fighters, game modes, game features, and the Story expansion. Certain characters will be buffed and new moves are going to be added. It's an hour long panel. Cyrax, Sector, Noob Saibot, T-1000 from Terminator 2, Ghostface, and Conan The Barbarian are heavily rumored to join the main roster. No mentioning of Kameo fighters as of yet. Cyrax and Sector may be gender swapped in this new timeline which I really don't mind. Pretty exciting stuff🔥🔥🔥

Had a small thought due to this trailer concerning Takeda. Considering his new origins as a trophy hunter, knows Kenshi well enough to be warned of Ermac (despite no longer being father and son) yet still has this psuedo cybernetic tech despite not being Shirai-Ryu possibly, it's possible we may be able to figure Takeda role and arc in the DLC. Takeda starts off as yakuza, Sub Zero starts the cyber initative in collaboration with said yakuza. In exchange for the new upgrades the Lin Kwei ask the trophy hunter to kill Scorpion. Obviously he fails to do so. But Sub Zero continues his advancement of the Cyber Initiative with Sektor and Cyrax being the newest advances. Eventually Takeda is betrayed but is saved by Kenshi (and/or Jax). In the end Takeda joins the newly formed OWIA (Outworld Investigation Agency). So am I close, partially right, or do you think I am way off the mark?

So hear me out. What if Ed Boon gave us a tease of "potential" characters for Year 2 Kombat pack within this Takeda Trailer. Again Hear me out; So Kombat 1 was 3 guest and 3 Mk characters right? What if he does it again for Kombat pack 2 BUT the 3 MK characters are the KOMBAT KIDZ? what if if its Cassie Cage, Jacqui Briggs and Kung Jin. In the Takeda trailer, the interaction between Takeda and Johnny Cage what did Johnny say? He said, "let's say I pair you with an ARCHER, a couple of soldiers." Who in the MK universe is an Archer...Kung Jin who is affiliated with Kung Jin? Takeda who is associated with both of them? Jacqui and Cassie. I know I might be reaching, but wouldn't my thought be such a thing Ed Boon would do?
