So military men do have soft sides aswell. As a person who is constantly trying to control emotions so people don't know how I feel, I also know that it doesn't always help, and often makes things worse, I guess that's why it's even more difficult when you are in such a horrible environment, and having to control them because you are in a life or death situation. It's why out of all topics I can't see how people can make jokes about war. It's also why, after suffering from mental health I really wanted to advertise it, because it's horrible. After reading so much about war, I saw a similarity between me and some of the soldiers who suffered mental health. It gave me a better understanding of myself but also the war at the same time, and I think the main thing is trying to hide emotions by trying to control them. It's something I have learned to do over time to feel less vulnerable, which as I now understand is a similar thing to what happens during war.
