I will play this for my husband of 62+ years. He now has advanced stage Parkinson's disease with dementia. This was our song, and I believe that he will respond. First I need to stop crying. [I called it!! He watched the whole time, and he even sang a bit! Thank you!!]

Thank you for sharing this testimony. What a blessing you shared with your husband, watching this clip! My beloved wife was diagnosed w/ PD about 6 years ago... She just turned 67; five days before retiring. Twenty two years ago we watched PD take my dear father; after 10+ years' of steady decline... So we both know what may lie ahead. But God is good. And we're alive today by His grace. May we all rejoice in the beauty of His love & moments of simple grace.

Austin Brown, I listened to The Righteous Brothers & Elvis Presley last night, just to compare, & You Are Much Better Than Both!!! I partly feel so strongly about that, because a lot of noises bother me, & I don't feel so dumb for hurting myself when I listen to you sing. I enjoy it much more. If you could do a bunch of songs with Just Your Voice, I think you'll find a small but devoted market for it. I was asking Jim Cramer, this stock guy, if he could buy the Taco Cabanas in San Antonio, so that I don't lose money on the stock, & I mentioned that one of the Taco Cabanas had seriously BAD, noisy music. I then mentioned that your music would be Much better. I think he already owns 2 restaurants. I don't know if he ever has live music in his restaurants, but you might ask, & just give him the link to your music. You can Google him on KZfaq, & he has an email listed there. It's really to ask about stocks, but I'm sure he'd love your "Unchained Melody", & maybe Christmas music, at the least.

I had tears in my eyes while I listen to your song, missing my dear partner who passed away in Jan, 2006. We, as 2 middle aged male, were married at hospice, without families and our friends, just a day before he passed away by cancer. It was a celebration of death, silence of grief and frustration. Only the tears were soley standing against hostility of the world and reality. No one approved our marriage except few gay friends. Our Families and straight friends were against our marriage and been hostile to us until the last minutes. I am still living with the shadows of the grief and emotional scars. A man loves another man is wrong and unacceptable ? Do we have right to judge others and punish them with our narrow mind ? Then we should judge and punish every single human beings for their being different from us.

Awwww.....Janie, I am so sorry to hear this. I lost my son in 2011 in Wasit, Iraq and know the pain you feel...but, having said this, I know they watch over us, they are so close..so close. On the day of his funeral I awoke to the tune of 'Time to Say Goodbye' in my head and was so angry that it was playing in my mind. I just could not imagine why I would think of this song when I was no where near ready to say goodbye to him. Later that evening the entire family went to Riverwalk in honor of his memory and as we stepped out onto the balcony 'Time to Say Goodbye' began to play. They are always with us. Love to your heart from mine.

My husband and I never had 'a song' but shortly after he was diagnosed with terminal cancer, he was wandering around the house randomly humming a tune. Because he grew up in Prague, he was not familiar with a lot of the songs I grew up with so he had to ask me what he was humming. I realized he was humming 'Love me Tender' and I thought, why an Elvis song? I looked up the lyrics and saw the final lines were "I'll be yours through all the years, Till the end of time". We always knew our connection transcended this one life and that's when we knew we had just been given 'our song'. It's been 5 years now and it doesn't take much to still trigger tears. I know they're waiting for us Janie. We will have our grand reunions. 💕

Only For a Short While Oh, only for so short a while you have loaned us to each other, because we take form in your act of drawing us, and we take life in your painting us, and we breathe in your singing us. But only for so short a while have you loaned us to each other. Because even a drawing cut in obsidian fades, and the green feathers, the crown feathers, of the Quetzal bird lose their color, and even the sounds of the waterfall die out in the dry season. This was our song! My husband would hear it on the radio, call me and just let the song play! He passed away in February and this is the first time I've heard our song ... couldn't have chosen a more perfect singer! Thanks for a beautiful memory ❤

Sorry I'd have to disagree. He failed to make you feel the emotional anguish the Righteous Brothers intended. His body language doesn't even match up as there are certain points where you can even see him smiling. Sorry but this is not a happy song. That's like watching someone jumping for joy because they 'didn't' win the lottery! Clearly he can sing well. Just needs to make sure he's transferring that emotional energy with songs that are known for it.

Miss Linda just wanted to bring to your attention that the Righteous Brothers had a whole ensemble of music instruments behind them, but Austin only had a guitar player to accompany him. True, an awesome guitar player but that was all the music Austin had. AUSTIN IS THE BOMB!
