look up OfficialNerdCubed, super funny youtuber. Worth a sub. I can't remember what video it is off the top of my head but a game told him he could zoom in on things with scroll mouse wheel. Then he said something along the miles of "Can everyone zoom in with their eyes? Is that something I just don't have?" And then a bunch of the comments were joking about them having zoom-in eyes.

It's because of the angles they use on each cut, they change the lighting that best complements the angle they are using. Same technique used in movies too.

Buz I imagine since they use mocap the full animation was there anyway. The camera angles were most likely put in after they added the animation to the characters, which means they would need to keep the full animation there so they can change angles whenever they want. You can even see the lighting changing at different points to bring out the characters more. It would be more work to remove the animation at certain points and time it perfectly so it continues at the exact moment the camera angle changes.

slvrcobra1337 If I remember correctly in Tlou when the camera stops pointing to a character they switch to basic animations or they go straight to T pose. Now I get it that Uncharted 4 is now motion captured and all but it's still cool to see how many details they have left in the game. It is kind of an ordinary thing but you don't get to see it everyday.

Isaac Alves I did finished the lost legacy and yes I noticed Chloe and Nadine’s conversation about Nate but yeah poor Chloe Nate’s already retired and settle down with his wife, Elena and Spoiler Alert!!! his daughter, Cassie. But Chloe has a chance with his brother Sam but that’s still unknown because in the lost legacy Sam seemingly became a bit flirty to Nadine (I’m sure you noticed that too)

in my opinion I doubt that Chloe would go for Sam she is still in love with Nate and even if she did settle for Sam she would still distant and ""cold""you never truely forgett your first love, and it gets worse when you ""lose"" it and thats why i fell for poor Chloe, i experienced the same unfortunally:( I hope noone as to past though this ""soffering"", in summery its hard to forgett, even though we humans advanced soo far in technology and science, we are still ignorant in terms of the human mind/brain. did you past though the same???

Blag Cog the worst part is that you can't even see that part in the actual game cut scene cause the camera is on drakes face at this point.

LA Noire had great facial animation but it was just a recording of the face with no realistic muscle and fat simulations and bone simulations and it was rather low res aswell. Siren also had some really interesting facial animation in its cutscenes but it isn't as impressive as this is in my opinion.

JustKorvac la noire is awesome but pretty much half there game was based of facial animations but they looked really odd at times for example the way there necks moved , this shit is amazing

Joseph Su'a Make sure to play The Lost Legacy, I found it pretty good even though it didn't have Nate, Sully, or Elena in it. I'm gonna replay it in a few months cause I think it is definitely worth another play through.

It's exactly I've replayed the series again. I saw Lost Legacy is half price on the PS store so I've re-downloaded Uncharted 1 through 4 again before I play it. Currently on New Devon chapter, almost there!

PS4/PC here too, PS4 definitely has the most talent going for it in terms of devs and that's why you get such detailed and handcrafted masterpieces like UC4 and GOW. It does have its limitations though which you can see clearly in UC4 with its low res backdrops and obvious areas it's saving power in. Im always impressed by PS4 exclusives these days but PC has it's lookers too where they just use raw PC power instead of having to budget performance because of a console (Star Citizen)

I'm pretty much limited to cutscenes where Nate doesn't move very much, or at all. Otherwise there would be a billion jumpcuts of me trying to keep the camera in the right place.

Is there a way where you could position and lock a camera X,Y,Z in the game world to Nate's head so it's always anchored to it? I'm not familiar at all with PS4 hacking so I don't know the limitations.

ZMOF 2 I don't think it is linked to Nates animation. There's no tilt in the head movements, only side to side and up and down. If it was linked, you'd get those slight tilts. Plus the motion of looking around isn't exactly very smooth here. So I'd say it's almost certainly being played with a controller. Just watch VR footage for an idea of what natural first person head movement should look like

It looks like when a FP game has a cutscene and you control the look; I think this is manually aimed, not animation-synced.

That is the lighting changes for when the camera is supposed to move / look at different characters. It happens in every cutscene and it is to keep stuff lit properly from different angles etc.

Different angles the developer wants you to see in that exact way, in a form that doesn’t get weird

They add lights on characters and objects to make it look better, obviously you shouldn't see this

It's called "close up lighting".

[クラトゥ]Klaatu it changes depending on the camera angle to make sure characters are always well lit. These are just thing we don't notice when watching the normal cutscene.
