I grew up watching SCTV and followed the stars from it, their careers. John's star glowed the brightest, and went out the quickest. We've lost John, Harold Ramis and now Joe Flaherty. It's like parts of my childhood are dying with them. Rest in peace guys!

God I miss John Candy - a great comedian taken too soon. He has some dramatic moments that hit you in the feels too.

Here's an unknown fact about this movie: John Candy should be praised by the African-American community because this movie was the first all Caucasian cast that featured rap music instead of rock or metal. John Candy fight and pushed for rap to be used in this film because he felt that the genre of music was under looked and underappreciated.

1. Many say Planes Trains and Automobiles but I say this was his best. 2, Of course it's Chicago. This is a John Hughes film. 3. Macaulay Culkin got the "Home Alone" gig because Hughes loved him in this. 4. That's the same High School used by Hughes for "The Breakfast Club" and "Ferris Beuller's Day Off". 5. Making a stack of pancakes that big would take A LOT of work. 🙄

I saw this movie in the theater but I was too young to appreciate the major plot about the daughter, so it bored me. After watching it recently as an adult, I liked it a lot better.
