Not truffles, but for sure like shitake, wood ear, oyster, maitake. That kind of strong flavoured Asian mushrooms with maybe tofu and a touch of agar to simulate the gelatin in soup dumplings would make a delicious vegan dumpling. I wonder if nameko's slime could function as a thickening agent to get rid of the agar even.

Absolutely enjoyed this one, we always love the out takes you show at the end. Maybe create a greatest outtakes video sometime, that would be so funny to watch. I am so glad they donate products to the homeless and others in need instead of simply tossing it away. Lately they gave us permit to go outside for three hours every 5 days but you’ll need a so called ‘invitation letter’ to get into any grocery store and private cars are not allowed on street so you’ll have to walk or ride a bicycle😅. I picked up a bag after seeing this video and have finally had occasion to try these dumplings. I consider myself a fan of Xiao Long Bao - I've had quite a few of them from various restaurants after being introduced to them by a co-worker. I was always frustrated I couldn't get them or make them at home. (My wife isn't a fan.) These are tied for the best I've tasted. As they're frozen, I can make as many as I want, when I want. If you have the money and the freezer space, buy some. They are absolutely worth the money. My wife also enjoyed playing with the dry ice they're shipped with. :)

bro 10/10 for whoever did the chinese subs, for the extra flavor part, the chinese sub is “亿点点风味” which means 100 million times the flavor which is also a joke in chinese as “一点点” which means lil extra something and they are pronounced exactly the same so it is a stupid but very FUIYOH joke and another in the driving back home part, the chinese sub says “uncle roger是一个老司机了” which means uncle roger is a skilled driver but also in chinese slangs it means that you are very lewd and weird stuff comes out of your mouth and sentences after that he immediately makes a lewd joke, a perfect subtitle

I see you getting better over time. I see you improving as you learn and experience more. As you come out with more and more content and videos, they become more connected. Uncle Roger showing some things we didn't know about him either, LoL. It gets more theatrical and rich, touching on cheesy even sometimes, but in just the cute little ways where it works just right. Even the bloopers have more substance, thought and aren't just random sketches you happened to pick out that might be funny. I see you refining your craft. We always keep some of these dumplings ready for a lazy cooking night. so easy to make and so tasty. Though one time we got a bag with two extra dumplings in it. It was a wonderful bag. Must have been put together by a new employee. lol

Update: Follow-up: just went to the Bellevue store and the food was great. While you can't go wrong with the xiaolong boa, the shengjian bao is to die for. Absolutely authentic and perfect. Hey now, Din Tai Fung is really good though pricey and if you visit you'll see tons of Chinese there so no need to throw shade. Uncle Roger, when in Seattle you can also try Dough Zone for xiaolong bao which is owned by a Tianjinese, so not bad either but not as nice as Din Tai Fung. Thanks for the shout out to Xiao Chi Jie, nice to support a local business.

I've seen tons of ads for these dumplings by now. Seems a little expensive for me at the moment, but wow what a good win for the brand to get Uncle Roger to come pay a visit. Very cool!
