At first, you think you can say, "Naw, thet can get ANOTHER voice actor..." Then you come to your senses and remember that John Witherspoon WAS Grandad. His voice is synonymous with the character and you just CAN'T replace him!

They initially wanted to hire John Witherspoon’s son to inherit the role of Robert Freeman, but decided not to because apparently he was *too* good. They even said he was their best audition. At least John’s son accepted the offer.

I love Uncle Ruckus as a character, but it really is sad how many people are actually like him in real life. Maybe not necessarily racist, but just in the way that they're enveloped in their own ignorant world without being open to literally any other perspective that's not theirs.

That hasn't changed at all, but life is too short to continue playing the "victim olympics", lighten up a bit.

the Boondocks ROCKS, nothing was sacred to the writers, much like South Park. I love Ruckus because he's so over the top ridiculous, and he does it with such conviction! same for Stinkmeener, that cantankerous blind old bastard can smell those new shoes. but my favorite character is little Riley, always trying to be so hard, and always so blunt. 4 seasons of the show just wasn't and isn't near enough, we need 4 more! I like my toons, imagine Riley and Huey sneaking aboard "Bob", the space ship from "Tripping the Rift". their reactions to Chode, Gus, Six, Whip and Tanuk, all the aliens everywhere, would be funny stuff! it might even give "Family Guy Star Wars" a run for its money. the Boondocks boys would have to be a little more 3D+CGI rendered, not much an issue because Boondocks animation style is realistic enough to begin with. make it funnier with the boys dragging Jasmine along for the ride, Ruckus trapped onboard too when he tries to rescue the children.
