I will mention if you have a weapon mounted light, find a safe place and shoot it after dark. Manipulating a weapon after dark, clearing malfunctions, and engaging targets with a weapon mounted light takes practice. Most don’t shoot after dark enough to know what they don’t know. We try to get out a couple times a year for night practice.

Definitely true another fun one we run folks through is a light vulnerability test. Start at 50 yards 3 targets shoot no shoots sometimes something like a person pointing a gun with a badge on their belt. Count to 3 make em turn the light off,tell them any shot you take is an instant kill shot. Watch them unravel as they make bad choices in training or when they realize they couldn't see what they thought they saw.

Wow, I do watch a lot of Utube, Aviation because of my like and work in it before I was set out to pasture to enjoy (?) retirement. Well to try and not be too long, I went back to what I really loved back in the late 80's then really got serious in the 90's when we had a new White House and started doing my own reloading, 38 Special for my 5 shot carry gun and 44 Mag for my " go to Colorado" gun. Remember were talking the days of about everyone using revolver's, police, etc. Well after having two wives die off on me I can finally get back to the hobby I really liked, shooting paper and different powders with my Hornady bible and stuck with their XTP bullets and lead semi-wad cutters. On two occasions my gun saved my ass. Once in a bar parking lot at night and once in my car when I made a mistake and plucked up a couple hitchhikers. The guy showed me his big bad ass knife and I showed him my 41 mag Ruger. Got them out of the car right away and both situations no shots were needed, the presence of a carry gun changed their mind. Well back to why I added a comment is your knowledge and frank, honestly really impressively me greatly. I'm going to tell my friendly go to gun and ammo store about your videos tomorrow to check you out and have him spread the word about rea,l honest, not payed to sell what someone is pushing. Today I am just sticking with one pistol, a 9mm with a 4.25 barrel and factory ammo. I am not concerned much about barrier ammo won't be shooting windshield 's or thru front door's. The guy on the other side of my front door maybe a fireman trying to tell me my roof is on fire! Keep up the great work my friend.

Alot of good info for everyone, great content. What some don't understand is using your brain or common sense isn't often use the reason you can joke about things is because people have done it. I will add few things I personally edc along with most of what you mentioned and my reasoning but everyone's different. I always at minimum have a TQ & combat guaze(usually paired) somewhere either on me or within reach if you want to be like Sgt I work with an have a dark angel ifak on your ankle you do you. I always have a pen & usually small note pad, one I have a tbi & I have days i need to write things down but the pen is similar to most while on duty, you have your pens & ones that you don't care about, so not just because people can be nasty creatures but I personally find I use my pen, knife(boxes & mail) and handheld light most often out of things I carry. If I am carrying a bag though I have an ifak i will say I use the boo boo kit(bandaids, various travel size meds) more often & you being a parent probably have something similar Also from my pov the occasional "swearing" is how most vets & public servants talk to each other and honestly for me it makes the video feel more genuine or your videos aren't scripted also if I were to meet you, you would be the same person. Please don't get me wrong over the yrs my filter more so while at work has gotten better but off duty with the boys or whatever yup it happens & no one bats an eye b/c its not a huge deal, shit I have a buddy we thought his kids first word was going to be either a hard R or an F word ha. Keep up great content

@@unclefreedom213 it's a solid kit not knocking it like if your plain clothes or going somewhere shady but this guy shows up to range qual days worse than tackle berry lol like I've wondered if he wears an ifak to bed ha Also depending on situation, like out drinking I do have a Agent 50 ASP it's super lightweight but also have have my truck keys on an asp oc baton. I usually have something on me for the just Incase or times you need to be professionally violent ha though different video I giggled though it's one of many lost over the yrs one of my first Emerson's was the tanto with the wave. Though I have some expensive ones because I loose crap all the time I usually don't buy expensive anything, so I recently got a Vosteed Raccoon and will say though I have had it for a week it feels like a benchmade not a $60 knife & super smooth fidget friendly It's been almost 20yrs (unfortunately no military deployments) but my primary was a mk-19 or 50 but we had the 240 & saw if we decide to take a stroll being built like a brick sh*t house I usually got the heavy but fun toys though I was sort of glad I transferred out of mortars.

I usually carry a full size 1911 stoked with 185 gr 450 SMC. Have a Surefire XH30 light mounted on it. I also carry a tactical hand held light, a Prometheus. You said Surefire are the best of the best, but I would disagree. Sure, they are definitely high A tier, but Prometheus makes the best, toughest, and well-built lights on the planet. For my edc lights I carry an Olight Arkfeld clipped in my pocket, and a Nitecore TIP-2 on my keychain. I have hundreds of flashlights, a few dozen Olights. I have never had any issues with any of my Olights except the ones I severely abused. Their quality and reliability has much improved over the years. This was another excellent video! All the crazy electronic and mounted ahit is cool but if you want to impress me show me your dope book, mill out the target on the reticle, do the trig problem with you cosign and then make your shot.

Yes def keep one in the chamber. Will keeping rounds in the magazine long term without a cycling them have any effect on the magazines ability to feed? I guess I'm wondering if maybe that spring will lose tention over time? Also, what do you think about the 380 acp? My carry guns are all 9mm but I'm tempted to try one in 380, just for the size and weight reduction. Shit on that note I'm also interested in the 5.7 for the capacity increase. But I'm still a little bit iffy on the 5.7. What say you?
@unclefreedom213
@unclefreedom213 Жыл бұрын
Always in the chamber. Mags well modern mags it's a non issue loading and unloading however does decrease the life usually for me once a year when I swap ammo I will swap to a different set of 2 mags for my carry. .380 does work but is marginal and highly ammo dependent and personally I don't like giving up the option for barriers and ammo selection. 5.7 is really cool and damn loud but the ammo selection just isn't that good and expensive by comparison

You can negate setback issues by having a dedicated top off mag.. majority of my weapons are hot and stay hot for various reasons.. but I have a dedicated empty mag for each firearm and anytime I clear one that round goes into a separate mag.. usually range trips swapping from defensive to training ammo.. but once that mag is full it get shot off next range trip.. I use a dedicated mag as a top off mag.. in a pinch I’ll top from my spare and replace later.. But anal as fuck really but I’ve been to the range and had a failure to feed it so I thought it was.. tapped the slide and thank god it didn’t go into battery still cause wo my knowing a cheap pos reload I thought was a dude as I would get every 1-200rnds from a respectable company not only was it a dude when I cleared the malfunction it stripped the bullet from the case and left it logged in the chamber.. had I smacked the slide a little harder and got it to go into battery I’d be less one gun after that day best case.. I don’t fuck around with reloads anymore.. I don’t fuck around with super cheap ammo of any sort that isn’t main steam name company mass produced.. and I don’t fuck around with rounds or even brass that has been chambered more then a couple times. Period.. I don’t reload and never will cause there is no point if I’m only going to use a case 2 maybe three times.. cause I’ve seen a micro fracture load result before.. one can’t see cause it doesn’t show on the outside and doesn’t happen till that final seating.. Tula is a low as I’ll go.. some may consider that below reputable thresholds but they are a pretty fn big company and in 10 years I think I’ve had only one issue ever and it was pretty obvious.. primer less round.. that’s for rifle and pistol ammo.. I don’t fuck with odd caliber shit for same reasons.. why.. cause it’s not being mass produced.. they do a lot and that lot takes months to sell.. then they run another. Each and every time that machine is having to be reset up and calibrated.. takes 1 mistake and that becomes an issue.. you also don’t know how long that shit has been sitting in a shelf.. how Ma much heat and cooking it’s experienced. How many trucks or boxes it’s been moved around it during that time.. Blazer S&B Tula wolf.. that’s by bottom and only in 9mm and 233 loading for those still cause I know those machines don’t get messed with don’t run anything else and are going like a sewing machine 24/7 and before I’d find out there is an issue 100’s of other people likely would first cause I have deep supplies and I shoot oldest stock first.. You guys can all shoot thar cheap poly shit all your want and talk about how reliable it is and cheap it is for training ammo.. no fucks given. I’ll gladly pay .05 a round more

So the 124gr Critical Duty is good for the G48, but not the G19? Bruh, the barrels are the same length on those....

it works but nowhere near as well as the lehigh extreme defenders and for their cost the Underwood loading of the Lehigh defenders is a better round and usually less expensive

So basically do everything and use everything this guy says because what he likes and does will work for you, no doubt about it. Just listen to pros like this, by the way my TLR-6 laser /light combo works perfectly and have nothing bad to say about it. But hey I’m just a everyday guy, not a professional firearm instructor and Leo, so that’s just my opinion.

hey if it works for you great. In my opinion the switches and candela are terrible and with an option available to produce more light and more versatility and not greatly impact my firing grip. I'm gonna take that advantage. I've spent a lot of time shooting lowlight and shooting in general. That's the great part about America you don't have to take my advice, you do you boss. I can only pass on what works for me

@Mobile Gamers Unite the light us a Surefire G2 Law Enforcement with an added Thyrm Switchback which is the ring. Thyrm makes different models fitting different lights well worth a look so much so that if I carry a light they make the ring for, I have one on it
