The V3 has a cleaner switch sound but has a bit of hollowness in it. Might need foam.

I actually built my kbd67 v3 without having the lite version, i just bought the rest of the parts thru kbdfans, as the lites were not in stock for quite a while.

Hi, were the individual parts cheaper than the whole kbd67lite package? I am thinking of buying if they are cheaper, because after upgrading, I just have a pty 67lite case...I don't mind filling it up again with anoth switch to play with.

@@IronCan88 definitely not by much, 55 for hotswap PCB(39 for soldered version), 19 for mute silicone, 19 for plate, 10 for case foam. That's already almost same price as full kit with case and stabs.

I really want to try the tecsee coffee chip ice cream switch as well as the gateron cap v2 gold switch, both are super thock on a budget, so don't want to spend toouch on the case. Thank you.

Andy good job...the only thing to make this presentation more authentic if your speech speed up by 3x then it will be more authentic vietnamese :). I upgraded to the v3 case in grey to give it a more premium feel, but I agree the 67lite was already awesome as is.

I wasn’t too fussed on the stock ABS case as I didn’t like the way it bends in the middle while typing. Installing flat rectangular feet will resolve this issue though. I PE foam modded it straight out the box and I was told that I am not getting the max thocc by doing that with Boba U4T and MT3’s. Also bought the V3 case. Maybe I should try it without the PE Foam. Will be picking up an FR4 plate when they come into stock. I also ordered the brass weight separately from KBdfans as resellers don’t sell them. I hope with the brass weight it is noticeably heavier. I still prefer my pe foam modded Tofu60 with centre posts drilled out. I think the unibody, heavy, sharp edges, boxy 60% layout with arrow keys looks nicer and more compact than my KBD67 V3.

You should do more of these, also I bought this case and with some mods and the right switches it sounds so poppy and creamy. Also when I recently tried the tape mod it brought it to a new level.

I've been using my kbd67 lite for a few months now and at first I dismissed as being too expensive, but it's my only board and I've been wanting something metal for a while now. I got on the Alexa group buy but that won't come till January probably so I might just pick this up.

How about kbd v3 for someone who jumped up to it 🤔 i got a deal with used plate+ silicon dampener/gasket for 25$+ 30-40$ for a pcb which could be a good deal though.
