Oxford, England, is a wonderful place to wander, the narrow cobblestone lanes take you on a journey back through the centuries as you cross old stone bridges and pass some of the most famous landmarks in Britain.
But not all the cobblestone streets in Oxford lead to places of romance and beauty, one led to a place of execution and death. The small area of cobblestones forming a cross in the centre of Broad Street beside one of Oxford's most famous colleges marks the site where three men were led and publicly executed. It was right here that the Oxford martyrs were tied to a stake, wood piled up around them, bags of gunpowder placed around their necks and burnt alive.

After a break up a month or so ago I started going to church again and to a small group, I grew frustrated with God for not taking me out of my socially debilitating OCD, which causes relational problems and decided for the first time to 'do me' to escape any kind of condemnation, judgement, rules, authority so that I could just finally relax and not have to worry about anything I did wrong. (I believe I have an over-active conscience.) Well the Lord came after me and provided for me in many ways after that, allowing my business plans to continue and giving me life-changing understandings about His grace and peace, I even planned to not attend the small group anymore and didnt go last week. But I watch this video now and witness that the Lord is still after me and it does matter that I am with the Lord. I didnt deny God but rather removed thought of Him, but now having been away I see all that I had with Him and how much I loved it and this is why I want to come back now, love, and this is why I obey, rather than fear as before, and this is the Gospel. The sermon today even spoke of my current place with the message 'sometimes suffering is part of your assignment, do not forget that we have a second life and that all things will be made right then."

Most of the young generations don’t know at all these histories of ours, and what is worse; they don’t care about them. Try to remember young people on your prayers that they may be inspired by the HS to look after Him

Sadly we agree with your generalisation of the state of the youth today. But we would also point out that there is an army of youth who do love the Lord. They may be the minority but so to was Noah and his family who entered the ark. God has always had a faithful remnant throughout history.

We are living in the last days!! Our corporate church is not sounding the message and is filthy with apostasy and closed during lockdown so as not to cause offence with worldly governments or the man of sin because he is a friend of the Seventh day Adventist church!! We have no choice, we have to separate from apostate organizations and worship alone in our homes if need be! The Oxford Martyrs, were meeting at an Inn because they were drinking there and there bible discussion became animated because the were drunk!! We stand before God as individuals, we will testify for the truth as individuals and we will be saved as individuals! Amen.

It's hard to believe that just the other week; the administration of Oxford college made an "official apology" to the students, et.al. for having a Christian speaker on campus. It appears some 'yahoo' was offended by the Christian doctrine. Unbelievable, Lord, have mercy on us.

Keep dreaming. Yes, I recall Jesus telling his disciples to burn all those who didn’t agree with him or didn’t follow him. Maybe if the Catholic Church would be taken more seriously today if they hadn’t hidden and protected pedophiles in various offices. Just maybe.
