Hey Tyler, idk if you have driven through Richardson, TX at all much but there 3 ponds on the park premises called Breckenridge Park. You should check them out for your pond videos. I've caught a 7lber a couple years back. I live in TN now so never get to fish there anymore

The uncut videos are great because they show the actual number of casts an angler may have to make in order to find bass. It's also helpful to watch how you pick spots to throw at. Also, in a lot of the lakes I fish, 'snot grass' is prevalent. My teammate and I will see each other's rod bend when we hit moss, so we will say, "s'not bass". Thanks for the video Tyler!

Hey Tyler love the videos and love what you’re doing. Recently I got the school board to allow our high school to have a fishing team and they said yes. We are the first high school in our area to get a fishing team. My first tournament is coming up on April 22nd and the lake we are going to be at is mainly small mouth with steep rock banks. Any tips or suggestions for a first timer? Oh I would also mention we’re in Kansas so we will be pretty close if not in bass spawn. Love the videos man keep it up!

Fellow northern angler here: It depends on what kind of day you want. If you want lots of bites but not necessarily the biggest fish in the water, the Jr. is the size for you. On the other hand, if you want bigger fish but potentially less bites, the full size is perfect. I once went to a tiny private pond and caught an 8 oz. crappie on a 3/8 oz. chatterbait, so I wouldn’t worry about it being too big.

Thanks for the great video Tyler..is that braid on your using? If so how do you keep it from cutting into it's self on the baitcaster..I only use braided line on my spinning reels.. just wondering if maybe I'm doing something wrong. Thank you and God bless you 👍
@TylersReelFishing
@TylersReelFishing Жыл бұрын
Hmm, I guess I would have to see how you fish with it to diagnose the problem. My first thought would be that you are not reeling in the line with enough tension, which is leaving air space in your stool, so when you set the hook, your line digs in. I have absolutely zero problems with braid on baitcasters, so I believe you can figure if out!
@NormNewsome-qh6zs

Thanks for getting back with me.. that's what I was thinking, I musta put it on to loosely. I do love fishing braided line and Fluorocarbon leader. Hey Tyler! I’ve got a question: Every time that I have heard you mention your faith, I never heard you directly mention Jesus. As far as I’ve heard, you’ve always said that you believe in a god that is so infinite that his love covers our sins. Let me stop right there and say that I can 110% get behind that message alone, but I’m curious whether or not there’s a reason why I’ve never heard you mention Jesus. Do you perhaps subscribe to a denomination that has different beliefs about Jesus’ role in the forgiveness of our sins? When I say different, I was raised (and still subscribe to) a nondenominational line of thinking. No judgement for your answer. God is king, the king loves us, that love washed away our sins.

Hi Corey! Thank you so much for the comment/concern, it means a lot that you are paying attention enough to want to comment. I believe (most likely), the same about Jesus and his role in salvation as you do, but you just got unlucky and haven’t heard/read where I’ve been clear about it. I am VERY open about my faith in Christ on Instagram, and on the main page of NFNT Outdoors website, Christ and the cross are front and center in the mission statement. I must not have been as clear here on KZfaq as I should be, so thank you for the challenge!

@@TylersReelFishing Thanks for your response! It’s awesome that you’re open about your faith on here. With every video you’re able to preach to a crowd of 267,000 people, and you don’t shy away from it. In fact, that number only includes your subscribers, and most of the time more unsubscribed people watch videos than subscribers. Keep catching bass and people! P.S.: If you would, consider doing a video on the steps to improve casting skills on a baitcaster. Most videos on this topic are directed toward beginners. I’ve been fishing for about a year and I’m able to cast my baitcaster and sort of aim, but when I see KZfaqrs cast, they effortlessly cast with pinpoint accuracy to a spot that’s at or past the end or my range. I understand that that mostly comes with time, but it’d be cool if there was a video with tips and tricks to help get me there.
