I could definitely see a Bos HT D2, made in the USA version of this knife selling like crazy. Even if the price went up a bit into the $45-50 range, I think the EDC community wants to support Buck. Their other flippers are pretty solid.

@@TopDog8762 oh absolutely I'd want an s35vn version. I was just thinking what they could do around the $50 price point that would be compelling. If they went the s35vn I could see them slapping a $90 msrp on it.

As YT keeps recommending your videos I keep seeing these older videos. I really didn't know Buck was having their knives made in China. Now I do like the look of this knife and don't hold its origin against it. But Buck is famous for its heat treat. I got a 110 that I have had for decades. This blade is not Buck heat treated, a shame, if it was a real Buck I would buy this in a heart beat. Now as of 2022 Buck has come out with the Buck 110 Slim Pro TRX and I hear very good things about it.

It looks like a slick gentlemans carry to me. Priced reasonably for what your getting, appears good, D2 steel, Is D2, decent edge retention, tough, resistant, working the blade to get it nice and sharp may cost a little effort. I wouldn't mind a higher grade steel, but then the cost is going too shoot up. The model appears worthy though maybe buck should do another version in cpm-154 ? Always have loved Buck knives. I just can't see to keep them, lost in the river, broken, stolen. I might just have to try this one and lock it up with the only one I have left which is one my daughter gave me when she was little 20yrs ago. Great review as always.

Hey First off congrats on busting 3K. That's going to make for a Happy New Year. Rust in the Pivot? I have one of these and mine actually was very clean. The whole area around the Pivot looked scratched. What the heck was it done by a crack head late on a Friday at the factory? Yeah you said it, that is no Kizer. Mine the action is superb for deployment and shake closed. I like the looks the contrast of the materials and the ergos fit me very well. For the money its a good value, but that is if you get one without rust. Maybe Buck should see if Kizer would make their knives?

Hahaha, right! I'm so used to breaking down a Kizer and it being clean. I like it! It makes an awesome SNAP when opened. I'm sure a lot of people get knives that are a little "messed up" inside, and they never know it because they don't break them down. Thank you for the congrats TopDog8762! I didn't think we would break the 3K mark before the new year. This has been an exciting year, and I can't wait to see what 2022 has in store!

@@BeezBlades I don't mean to butt in on your converstation. Just want to say that rust probably came from the steel ball bearings? You all probably already know this but you can buy bearing assemblies online, ceramic ones to replace those steel bearings. Once rust starts you really can't stop it.

That’s a very nice design. I can’t stand the look of the usual stonewash on blades. Makes them look cheap. But this style of stonewash is quite pleasing to look at. That debris and washer is not cool though.

What I have found over the years of reviewing knives, is that US knife companies that outsource to China... Buck, CRKT, Gerber, etc... the quality of the product is nowhere near as good as the actual Chinese companies that turn out their own stuff. WE, Civivi, Artisan, CJRB, Canku, Petrified Fish, etc... All those Chinese brands are cranking out knives that are way better than the US brands that use China for cheap labor.

@@BeezBlades Just my opinion but I would prefer steel on steel due to the fact that aluminum is soft and would be prone to wear and there may also be a lock stick issue with the aluminum on steel. Other than that I do like the knife.
