At my first store there were two people that should have been fired on their first week. One was a guy who kept on doing things when he was told several times to stop by management, such as spitting on the backroom floor. He destroyed another store's order because would unsafely stop the pallet jack by turning the handle instead of dropping it. He was finally fired from the store that he transferred to after our store closed. The 2nd person was this woman who blatantly lazy. She was the store operator and all she had to do was transfer calls, but that was clearly too much work for her. I asked her to page my manager once, all she did was hold her head in her hands and said "Oh, I think she's in the office".

No way would a VP wear a suit that cheap. Also, you NEVER fire someone without a witness. Plus, what the “vp” is doing could be considered a crime because he’s trespassing and trying to pass himself off as an employee. This is dangerous territory and he should be VERY careful

First, a VP wouldn't be doing the firing. It's not their responsibility. Secondly, they would never do it on the floor. They'd ask to talk to him in the office. Nothing about this is appropriate, and Walmart should have never allowed them to film it.

This is for anyone in their first few jobs. If someone walks up to you and claims to be VP or any other higher up and is trying to fire you, be respectful, but talk to your supervisor. Most lower tier workers know who the VP is or what they look like. This is a scummy "prank" to pull on people.

Here's what needs to happen: the employee should bring his manager into the conversation. The manager will then find out if the so-called VP of operations is legitimate. If he is not, the police should be called so that he can be legally trespassed and kicked off the property. This should happen at every store he visits and does this.

Before I started at Wally World, I always do my research what to expect the expected. Sure people do come to “prank” or giving us bad mojo vibes, I’ll just push it off. If they continue to harass me while I’m working, I’ll inform my management team. They can either talk some since to people or have authorities handle them. Cause we don’t have much time to play around when hooligans come in or people whine why certain things not on the shelf.

I had a drunk coworker who was fired. They didn’t do it in front of customers and this guy was yelling beer, beer, beer in front of management, and corporate. They heard his shouts from the other side of the store from where we were at. They put him in the back office to sober and then they told him he was fired.

When i worked for walmart, i had just finished a 4 year stint from the army as an infantryman. I was the hardest worker out there, stocking multiple departments by myself. If some asshole told me i was fired, i wouldve tried to punk that dude out and if they were down i wouldve swung right there. This shit is fucking maddening.

I worked for Walmart and this is only done in extreme circumstances where the employee is being disrespectful to mangers and coworkers and or fighting. One employee i knew named TJ got fired on the spot out in the open of the store for telling his boss to fuc off because he was off the clock. And there's the paperwork that has to processed during termination and then Loss Prevention has to escort you out of the store like a criminal.

He should have been worried about himself (the manager) doing nothing. I know it was a lousy prank, but so many managers do nothing, and get paid for harassing workers, and slow down work productivity being bossy. I had a snot boss once when she was on vacation, we got all work done by 2:00. When she was there running around trying to make herself appear indispensable, we ended up working late every time. If she didn't like someone, she would sneak over and erase their files to make them appear incompetent and get them fired. I caught her, but acted like I saw nothing, (I acted clueless) or I would have been fired too, but I was right behind her seeing her delete files. The employee came in and said "Oh my God, no no". I had to act clueless or I would have gone down too. If bossy managers would get out of the way, you could get your work done so much faster. The bosses are always believed, never the lowly employee...You're stuck.
