Underdogs - The Lewis Van Poetsch Documentary

Underdogs is a short film by Jamie Yuan documenting the life of the legendary journeyman, Lewis Van Poetsch, a stalwart of the British boxing scene.
Lewis won his 170th and final appearance against Steve Davies on March 25th in Bristol.

Ehhh, many of them agree to take dives for money. Not all, but there's plenty who do. That includes the trainers and promoters too. The big money is the round they go down in or how they lose. Betting on the right round a fight is stopped in usually pays out huge odds.

This was amazing! Hope you have more of this kind of content. Boxing needs journeymen and they also deserve a whole load of respect for what they do. Its funny because I always saw Van Poetsch as a fighter that was a whole lot better than his record suggested and now i know why. Losing is a business 😆 Congrats on Lewis for his final fight and win! Perfect ending to his career! Much deserved!

@@johnnybegood9742 Prospects need journeymen to give them that experience of fighting under the lights without risk of losing a fight. When starting out your pro boxing career its invaluable to get experience of fighting with a crowd watching and that's where journeymen come in. Minimal risk and experience gained.

Like pooochi , far better than his record suggests winning 5 of his last nine bouts (forget the draw he was robbed ) , including his final bout ,,after he beat a few fledgling prospects the phone stopped ringing for fights , wish him all the best in his new boxing refereeing journey, what a outstanding servant to the sport

Sat next to this guy at the Bellew Usyk fight, he was telling me fought the night before not too far away,down to earth nice guy 👍🏻
