Bottom line for me is when i switched over to animal based , my physical and mental health improved tremendously. At 58 i am trail running and able to recover by prioritizing proteins and saturated fats. No more lifetime stomach and indigestion issues. I am going to feel better the rest of my years on this earth. 🙏

I used to eat constantly from getting up in the morning, till I went to bed, with some midnight raids to the fridge. Now, I have my hunger completely under control doing carnivore. I can do a 20/4 fasting schedule with ease, and I’ve lost 40 pounds of fat in 2 months. I am actually going in to see my doctor today. I’m going to insist that she puts me in for a coronary artery calcium test.

I'm carnivore but all my life I have been astonished at the ability of the mass of humanity to eat bullshit and love it. I will refer to 2021 - 2022 as an example. Then shame and ridicule the rest of us that know exactly what we're eating. If only they had medication that made people resistant to bullshit.

There is a published study out of South Korea that measured total cholesterol and all cause mortality of 12.8 Million South Koreans. They had taken total cholesterol of 12.8 million people and like 10-14 years later , and almost 700,000 deaths , they charted all deaths by total cholesterol. It may have been provided by age. Although we know all test, studies , and research we can question the results …. We do know that heart disease and cancer cause a lot of the death today / as well as ldl contribution to “high cholesterol” numbers. The study of 12.8 million people and nearly 700,000 deaths are big numbers that can’t be ignored and we all can Argue correlation and causation is hard to proof. But the study opens eyes about low total cholesterol and at what “higher” level of total cholesterol the chart starts to track north, or higher risk factor. The results show that what is considered “high” total cholesterol was actually a sweet spot to be in and low risk for all death mortality. And that low total cholesterol, below 140(?) showed higher risks. I’m suprised this study isnt highlighted more. Yes , simply , the relation between total cholesterol and all deat mortality may not be what we are led to believe

@@barbarakeysec6304 , I can only take credit for having come across the study via Dr Sten Ekbergs KZfaq where he covers the study. It’s title “I ate 100 eggs in 7 days …”. It’s rather an enlightening study. Although no one can directly take one measurement and call it causation, it can help in understanding what it’s not.

Dr. Baker, how long has it been since you cared to LOOK at the ingredients in a commercially packaged, or even a bakery packaged, box of cookies or cake? Butter is NOWHERE to be found. You have to buy the most expensive "butter cookies" in a store to find actual butter. There maybe eggs in it, but that is it for healthy ingredients.

The all butter shortbread is not always too expensive (in the uk), though even some of the premium shortbreads have been adulterated with oils. Also, Danish butter cookies appear to have been adulterated with artificial ingredients with a few exceptions among premium brands. Still, if you are occasionally cycling carbs into your diet, a premium brand or homecooked version is suitable as a rare luxury item.

The Diabetes being caused by saturated fat actually came from a study that Dr. Ben Bikman did early on. He did a video on it. Essentially, the saturated fat was directly added to the cell culture, and that caused issues (to include insulin resistance). However, the saturated fat that's actually broken down through the digestive process doesn't cause insulin resistance.

Food has never made me feel good. I've struggled with it for so long. My Functional medicine Doctor kept pushing me toward vegetables and esp. broccli and those plants related to them. But eating them lowered my body temperature and hurt my stomach. I think eating them compromised my thyroid and adrenals. It wasn't worth it to me. So when I started the keto diet, it wasn't easy either, I was nauseated most of the time and it was hard to eat. But I kept on going and now eating all these animal fats and meat is not bothering me and I have fewer stomach upsets overall. I do take HRT and they bother my stomach a great deal. Since changing my diets to high fats, I've been able to lower my HRTs 3 times, so I feel encouraged that perhaps I can get off of them completely or at least lower them by a lot.

Increase your fat intake until you find what works. Butter Ghee Tallow or lard, I save bacon grease. Meat is liquified in our stomach acid 98% is absorbed, our liver produces bile to emulsify the fat we need (cholesterol) to make our hormones insulate our nervous system, increase our cognitive abilities and memory. The fat not needed goes to the bowel softening the stool, not eating enough fat can cause gallstones. I had an issue until I increased the fat I was eating, love butter. Magnesium helps as well.
