We appreciate your great efforts as foreigners subscribers as overseas students want to increase our cultural level improve our English as well and literature lovers too. I gathered main information about topics you mentioned briefly here it’s first of all I looked up for meaning of irony is literary device that contrast expectations and reality. Story tellers use ironic situations to create humor, suspense , emphasis on particular subject , by highlighting in congruity of situation or action , irony draws attention to plot point , character trait or thematic argument. Irony work occurs when moment of dialogue or plot contradict what audience expect from character story . In other words , irony in literature happens when opposite of what you expect actually occurs. Verbal irony is statement in which speaker words are incongruous with speaker intent . Speaker says one thing , but really means another resulting in ironic clash between their intended meaning and literal word . Irony in literature used to bring complexity in narrative structure, create suspense, contrast , knowledge and ignorance, expectation and reality. Purposes of irony in creative writing to twist words , scene , expected but come to fit writer massage. In short story irony for example character stopping out into hurricane saying what nice weather we having . Difference between coincidence and irony is coincidence is often confused with situational, irony which is when end of situation is very different.

Finally that what we would expect . Irony root in Greek comic character Eiron. Irony paradox tells on clarity and exactness of language shows truth can be expressed by word alone irony used word to point beyond language. Romeo and Juliet play form of situational irony , cruel irony . Iam so sorry to be little long but reading and writing both are great ways to improve our English as non native speakers. one of my favorite things to do has got to be layering dramatic irony so many times on top of itself that you don't know if the character knows if you know if the character knows if god knows what the hell is happening

My first short story that was published centered around an ironic clever ending. The second short story irony was peppered in it throughout, but I had to analyze it to see it all. It is not like I use it in my work consciously. Except for the first piece written around an ironic concept, it develops naturally. I am one of those creative people, probably like you since you are so passionate about your work like me, that holds out his hand and lets the stories write themselves through me. I marvel at the writing and creative process and no one can ever convince me my work is not good, all while maintaining humility so my art stays in its purest form. This was a good video. I know it when I see it (irony aka deliciousness), but never knew it could be broken down so thoroughly and explained.

It is almost ironic how plain spoken, matter of fact (on the edge of boring 😜) this instructive video was. Irony is something that is written subconsciously, I find it difficult to plan it out, it kind of breathes and exhales on the page without some kind of intention. If you're fully into the piece, you're probably spitting it out without even realizing it.
