Alex mentions he plans a future video on using "Combat Patrols" to aid attackers (this lets you deploy full platoons onto advance positions - very useful) - so new players should keep in mind there are additional tools for the attacking side. But another professional video from SoS - well done, Alex!

This was a great video! I do think that the 4 Fs are underutilized by wargamers, leading to both sides just blazing away across a field. I know I made that mistake in my last CoC game.

Very informative. How is smoke used?

Thanks, you can fire it from artillery if you have the smoke missions, it blocks LOS and the size of the smoke marker depends on if you are using regimental or divisional artillery to fire it, and the British use it to make it harder to hit them as they advance.

@@StormofSteelWargaming To clarify, you can also use Battalion Mortars to fire smoke. This has the benefit of certainty, since you do not have to "test" to call in Mortar actions. One challenge with smoke is that it will only stay in place for 1/2 to a full turn before dispersing. On the other hand, it can be extremely useful to shield troops attacking a prepared position.

Thanks. O'Group really got my attention since you showed the first Video about it. Do you have links to other original source material of WW2? I'm searching for British doctrines in North Africa during 41 and 42. German Info is so easy to get, but finding british sources...pfffft. For example the Jock Columns. Some say without Tanks, some say with Tanks, no 40mm Bofors for AT Fire, yes 40mm Bofors for AT Fire, only qf 2pounders and no 37mm Bofors, 2 Pounders AND 37mm Bofors, both without HE Ammunition, 37mm with HE Ammunition... It is frustrating. You can find everything about Rommel and DAK...but British? O'Connor? Performance Cruiser A10? Valentine...it seems so laborious compared to Wehrmacht stuff. Sorry for the long text.
