Thanks for this tutorial, Joe! I have used speedlights for many years, but I have never used the "multi Mode". I have used ETTL, Man, S1 and S2, but never Multi. So now I know what it's for! Looks like I have to get a cool idea to practice. :-)

does your 80D fire the flash in live-view? how? is there a setting i have to enable to get this working? every time i have live-view, my flash would not fire.

Joe, I wanted to ask what type of fabric is your black backdrop? Thanks! I just tried the "drop fruit in the glass" tutorial yesterday. It didn't turn out that great because my lighting wasn't right and my back started killing me so I stopped but I will get it eventually. I always do with practice. 😊

Hey Millie, yea the splash is trick. Timing is the hardest part, even this one the timing was hard. I actually ended up doing a whole bunch of photos prior to the filming just to get the two actually shown in the video. So yea kinda cheated a little.. hehe.. The backdrop is Neewer Black 6 x 9 foot Muslin Backdrop. Link here: amzn.to/1Zgx6bT I actually have a review on these coming out this Saturday. I purchased the black, grey and white ones. Not really expensive also, about $15 to $18 dollars each.

I am not sure when I am going to order the backdrop but I assume it comes in a sealed package so even if I don't use it right away, I will have it for when I need it. I need some clamps also. I will definitely order from your link. We are trying to clean out the bedroom and make room for my gear. At some point, we are thinking about moving so....yeah. Looking forward to Saturdays video! Thanks Millie, the backdrop has a 3 inch pocket at the top. So you can run a rod through it as well. Take care, Joe

I am using The Yongnou YN622c-TX trigger. How do I set the trigger to for 9 seconds and fire 3 times? How do I figure this out?

This flash only uses first curtain sync. Hope this helps.

I just bought a pair of YN560 and commander. How do you get them to strobe for shutter faster than 320? For sports action?

These speedlites do not support high speed sync. So they are limited by your cameras maxium sync speed. You can normally find it in your camera specifications listed as X-Sync speed.

OK. I bought them thinking they were HSS. What is the strobe feature for then? I got them to strobe once and not sure how:) Last question: Will they work on a rear curtain if my camera is turned to that mode and the flash is remotely fired? I appreciate the help
