Sadly my mom is not Christ because to me Christ is not my mom. He is my brother at my age and depending on the image of Christ of certain time and place I feel like I'm the bride to the bridegroom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And of course at times I feel at times being the mother as I am strict, compassionate, loving, trusting, and caring and can be sooo balanced. With my mom I never knew balance ever. So with Christ alone I can find balance. It's always been almost perfect being a pilgrim or able to do something on my own. Retreats on my own or with just friends on a beautiful day can be so beautiful. Sure temperatures can affect us but if we can find balance in Jesus with Jesus and through Jesus this we can share with Jesus and with others for infinity. We must become more than eternal. We must be forever in the balance of Jesus to be his best friend, his brother or sister, a lover of Christ whether we are a pet or a spouse and even his mother if we know how to act like his mother. We all only have one father and he is up above and alive. His body may be on earth as it is in heaven but still the father is in heaven always. No matter how dark and no matter how bright. Why I love all ways of Jesus Christ's saving grace. Redeemer, healer, prince of peace, teacher, as I feel I'm the teacher's aid, as he is my Shepherd I can be a Shepherdess as he protects me and only through him am I able to do anything, and at times feel like his sheep or wolf. Not totally bad but at least I know the father isn't even on his worst days. He may be wrathful and even quite angry but boy do I love all of God's tempers. He is the same always, the Alpha and the Omega. @judeyyudkin3183 you are not alone in your fears. My oldest pulled away from the faith in college (Loyola). I am constantly offering prayers, works and sufferings for his return. It’s possible your church may have a special needs group for your son to join. My middle has Down Syndrome at first he and I would go to typical religious education classes. Eventually they started a program for special needs kids called SPRED. It was a game changer! He could go by himself, which gave me a break, and each child had a volunteer to buddy up with. Out of my 3 kids, Brad has the strongest faith. I am convinced it was because SPRED and the amazing people who helped run it. Personally, I have found a daily rosary, adoration and bi-weekly confession have completely strengthened my relationship with Jesus and my faith. I will add you and your son to my rosary for the next 9 days. God bless you and everyone here. Oh, and great sermon, Fr. Goring! You’re always a straight shooter. Please try saying Jesus I Trust in You every time you are fearful . I recommend looking up about Sr. Faustina and Divine Mercy. That is where the phrase comes from.

Thank you for this advice!! Actually, I went through a period of extreme anxiety with panic attacks for a few months. After reading Garry Zimaks book on worrying, I started saying Jesus I trust in you as recommended by Gary. It is the only reason I did not end up in the hospital. I eventually made it through this. I have read St. Faustina’s Diary and yes divine mercy is helpful at times but I also think of the visions she shared about hell and I am back to being anxious about my Catholic faith. It’s just a constant battle. I so wish I could feel at peace with my faith unfortunately at times it makes my anxiety worse.

The entire little village exists today to serve the thousands who visit there daily. As they have followef Our Lady's request of them for over 41'years Divine grace is doled out there in a very tangible way. True heaven on Earth is lived there now.
