I often find myself super jealous of the people that don’t ever go through this...like they’re just better people and made better choices for a partner. Ugh drive me nuts

Samuel, I really appreciate how your recent videos have addressed us divorced folks. The reason for my divorce was because my wife decided to pursue her affair partner. I didn't find this channel until after my divorce was final. This channel has become one of my tools for healing (it is not my only tool). You have helped me understand the nature of infidelity and you have helped me find reasons to forgive and move on. You are right: today I am wearing my badge that says, "Divorce and Infidelity Survivor." My badge reminds me that, as you said so well, I am different now... and I can handle ANYTHING. Again, thank you so much for including us divorcees in your videos.

My husband and I feel this in our soul ❤️. We are in awe of our marriage every day now. When the vow states “for better or for worse” I know now what “worse” means. And I’m proud that I chose forgiveness because of who I see him as now vs before D day. It’s like having a “born again” marriage.

Thank you for this. Being one year in, I have often noted that our marriage is different than others in a good way. I like it that we’re more aware and attentive. I never thought I would see it all in a positive light but I actually do. It’s been a lot of work and not easy at all, but it’s been worth it.

This was so encouraging for my wife and I. We are praying for you and your wife. Thank you for putting yourself out there, Samuel. I admit I did not like you very much at first but I have really learned to love you man! Clearly you work very hard to help people come through the hell that you have experienced yourself from your own choices. You and your lovely wife are so brave!

Hi Samuel. I was wondering if you've ever come across couples with double infidelity. Meaning both are the unfaithful and both are the betrayed. If 1 feels like the others betrayal is worse and that is causing a lack of remorse and forgiveness, though they are trying. This is coming from a Christian home. One has forgiven the other more, and has spent a lot of time in prayer, and reading the bible, one is having a harder time, and doesn't spend as much time in prayer or seeking God's help. Both love each other very much and through everything have not considered divorce, but the ups and downs are very difficult for them and their children. I'm curious how do you think you would have felt if this had happened in your situation? Do you think you would have handled things the same way if you had to experience both sides? What advice would you give in this situation?

You speak my situation so eloquently! I'm the Christian betrayed and unfaithful. It hurts like nothing else to know I let God and my spouse down. The regret/shame is unbearable. How are you doing?

we have many who attend our ems weekends as well as our ems online courses and take turns being the betrayed/unf. it's not as complicated as some think as they are able to switch roles and help each other heal and move forward slowly but surely. if this happened in my situation, i think i would be devastated for sure, but would also understand why she would resort to that. doesn't mean it would be easy or simple, but i would understand it after all i've put her through.
