Man JBL was a guy that played the heel role extremely well. It was crazy how his success during the mid 2000s is also thanks to Eddie Guerrero. Have my reservations about JBL based on certain stories that have come out, but to separate the art from the alleged man I will always be grateful for him as a commentator and more importantly because I fully got into wrestling around that time as a teenager and he played a huge role in my love for Taker and Cena. My first proper intro to Taker was when he returned to challenge for the title during that 9 month reign, which led to a DQ and a last ride match as I recall. But the moment that gong hit I was sold and Undertaker was and remains my favourite wrestler of all time. 😊
