I am not joking. This comment is not satire. This is one of my favorite pieces of music in undertale by Toby fox by far. I don't listen to it all the time but whenever I am reminded that it exists my mind fills with some sort of feeling like happiness and nostalgia. This makes me rethink my life and remember the memories I've made. This was the perfect song to listen to a few minutes before the new Year. It's just too beautiful to be considered just a video game sound track. I know I will get bored of it soon, so I try not to listen to it at all, but everytime I rediscover it, makes my brain restart in a way that can't be described.

Every once in a while, I come back to listen to this amazing soundtrack. This particular song was the most under-appreciated in my opinion. I know Core is cool and all... But this one has such a unique vibe I can't describe... Something melancholic and powerful at the same time with the ""vocals"". Anyway... I also visit Deltarune's soundtrack so... You'll probably see me there too hahah XD

Started playing undertale maybe 2-3 days ago, I’m at the castle, on pacifist, I already know what happens since I first discovered it as a shortsighted kid that didn’t see any way in hell that I’d have a computer now. But lemme say, even knowing exactly what’s going to happen, playing this game for the first time is just absolutely magical. When the little “ooooh” part kicks in the background of this song… dang. This game’s soundtrack goes up there with Halo, Deus Ex 1, Mechwarrior 2 + mercs, Minecraft, Terraria… it’s up there, I’ll say. I mean considering Toby only had recently taken up piano around the time of this game starting, (if I didn’t mishear that vid) Mans nailed it. Maybe I’m wrong abt that, but sheeze… this is what happens when you grit your way through game development. Can’t wait for Deltarune, which I haven’t spoiled (yet) IK Toby said it ain’t “Undertale 2” and has _No_ chance at surpassing undertale, Ay bruh, Toby- Mr. Fox, since I’m also in a Batman kick right now, if Deltarune can even match Undertale’s rough sketchy outline, I’ll buy you a Big mac meal with a large Coke. If Undertale doesn’t solidly steel-reinforced-cement games as art, IDK what will. This game bruh… this is what Ross scott would love, it doesn’t feel like a game, more like another world to peer into. One which I’m sad to leave behind soon, and don’t have the heart to destroy. I'm in the middle of reading homestuck rn, and its giving me this new appreciation for undertale in a weird way. I have no idea what it is. Maybe it's that reading homestuck has been the closest feeling i've had to my Undertale hyperfixation since, well, my Undertale hyperfixation. Also, it made me gain new interest in this track in the game, and it's lowkey one of my favorites in the entire soundtrack now ngl.

Wasn't the biggest fan of Undertale, but one thing I can't fault it for is the soundtrack. It's amazing.

I've always loved doing musical breakdowns, although everyone has their own opinion I can't stop to think what's the meaning behind every little nook and cranny. I think this song represents not only Hotland, but also the arrival of technology into a society such as the underground. The beginning section shows that with that "advanced Technology" or "metamodernity" kinda vibe with that instrument that I do not know the name of, the underground has suffered a lot of changes since they were sealed off, but like humanity, they developed under these circumstances anyways. This can be present here, a hellish scenery with lava all around, but with giant structures such as alphy's lab or the core. The vocals express some type of pain/regret to me, and I like to think about it this way: science and technology bring both good and bad things, because although Hotland is lively with Mettaton around, you still can't deny that it has a touch of sadness into it, and we can confirm it in the true pacifist route. We know what's below Alphy's lab, we don't know what happened in the core and one of the incidents regarding followers talking about a certain guy disappearing like nothing. Getting towards the end of the song represents these mixed feelings very well, the beat is a jam yes, but the vocals are still there and they mean something. I think this song is the struggle to find ANOTHER MEDIUM, another way of breaking the barrier with said discovered technology, a task that's in someone's shoulder, a certain genius of these Hotlands. That's what the vocals and overall represent to me.

About to be 6 years since this game came out. Pretty soon before we realize it’ll be 10 years old. I’m sure all of us will treasure our memories of this game.

I remember being 10 years old watching a youtuber walkthrough of undertale. He spared Undyne and he just jumped in the Hotlands. It was a wednesday after school (4pm), i think it was June, a rainy day, eating a ham and cheese sandwich and it was already dark outside (i live in the south emisphere) and then this bop starts. You can't imagine how much nostalgia flows through my mind while listening to this. I love Toby Fox and his creations and i think im never gonna forget Undertale or Deltarune, or im never gonna overcome my Undertale phase since 2016
