Actually, it's possible that she has determination in her. In the Pacifist run, you fight Amalgamates, melted creatures that were INJECTED with determination. Determination makes monsters melt. If there is too much of it in them, that is. Undyne must have been injected with a little bit of determination from Gaster. And that might be why she was like that. She was determined to kill the Evil™ player who went around killing all the monsters. She had been determined to fight. And when she was about to die, she started to melt before turning to dust. +Vank 101 Well id argue that that's not exactly the case in most situations. While the similarities between genocide Frisk and many insane antagonists are large, there's a key difference. Antagonists are driven purely by their own madness. Here you are in control, sure, but Frisk him/herself is the real driving force and you are just carrying out his will practically. We see many times in the genocide run that Frisk acts differently in genocide than normally. Even Frisk's item descriptions change to be more cynical. When you eat the instant noodles, you go though the normal process of cooking them, and only heal 4 hp. In genocide however, you immediately eat them saying "they taste better dry." and recover 90 hp. Even when you check monster kid the flavor text is " looks like free EXP." So sure WE feel bad when we do this, but Frisk, the psycopathic killer who has no positive emotions sure doesn't.

The thing about Undertale is that the game is formed by timelines, and the more times you reset the timelines the more lives you ruin. The only satisfactory ending for Undertale is the Pacifist ending where everyone, except Flowey :( , lives happily ever after with a normal timeline and none of the major characters dead. If you play genocide mode, not only do you ruin that timeline, but the only other timeline worth ending the game with.

I could not disagree more. This is the second-hardest battle in the entire game, full stop. All those players who were stymied by her, she saved the world from them. And even when she's defeated, she knows her friends won't have made her death in vain. Alphys evacuated everyone, and she's confident that Asgore will destroy you - and you won't hurt anyone else. In the end, she dies with a smile on her face, full of hope. And while she was mistaken on exactly who would destroy the player, she wasn't wrong - that battle does stop a great many players. Power of friendship is not just about combat, the power of determination in battle. It's knowing that you're battling for a purpose, and even if you lose, you have faith that your life hasn't been given in vain.

If you choose to do the Genocide route, it shows how lonely and depressing the life of a killer really is. It gives you numerous chances to redeem yourself. Before you have a boss fight against Sans, he even says that you are continuing to kill just so you can see what happens, not for any real reason at all. Also, these characters man... Papyrus is such an innocent soul. He always believes in you. When you fight him, and kill him, he STILL believes in you before he disintegrates. If you kill Mettaton or Undyne? Alphys commits suicide. These characters become so attached to the Pacifist Frisk, that playing the Genocide Chara truly hurts. This isn't a game. These aren't just characters. I don't care if their just pixels on a screen. They're better than most people I've met in real life, and I just love these guys. i don't care if I'm overreacting. I. Love. UnderTale.
