Never thought I'd miss cars like that, but I do. I have a lot of respect for people keeping them so pristine for decades.

She's pristine. I was never a fan of the bustleback years ago, but now that I'm older, I actually appreciate the design.

My Grandfather had a 1985 Eldorado. He bought it in September of 1985 shortly after it rolled off the line, making it one of the last produced on that 1979-85 platform. It had essentially the same dash as yours, complete with the optional electronic speedometer. His was black with red pinstriping, 4100 of course (luckily his had the finned valve covers with the later upgrades from the factory so as long as he owned it he never had an issue) with light gray leather interior. Wire wheels, no landau roof or moonroof, but with power seats, rear defrost, and the cassette deck with 5 band equalizer. I remember the day he brought it home, I was 8 years old and I seriously thought my Grandfather had NASA build him the car because that dashboard was from a spacship!! I'd NEVER seen anything like it before, and it's one of my earliest impressions that got my passion for cars going at that age that I still have today at 45 years old.

I think this is the first time you've showcased a Cadillac you actually own! What a time to be alive. This and your Olds Cutlass (which made a breif apperance a few months back) have been two of my most anticipated vehicles. You never mentioned that your Seville was in such a stunning shade of brown! LOVE IT!!! Especially that interior. Looks so lush and luxurious. And that is some impressive MPG for a big, un-aero luxury cruiser.

Those cornering lights are cool as heck too!

Those "Symphony Sound" Delco ETR radios sounded really good - even by today's standards!

That Digital dashboard somehow reminds me of the DeLorean in back to the future. Not only that, but also the perfect condition and functionality makes this Seville the perfect time machine to go back to the 80s. I Love it.

I remember my Dad, who drove Cadillacs until he died, praised his 1982 model. I didn’t get it and asked him why? He always replied the fuel mileage. No lie he averaged 27 on trips. I guess it was a reprieve from the earlier years where 15-18 was tops.

Adam, if you think that was a filthy car, you've never seen a filthy car.;) And I kind of like the green and yellow display lights. Makes for a nice contrast. The overall interior is to die for, of course. Nothing like it today.

The brown is stunning. The Delco/Bose stereo was the schizznits BITD that is actually a turning point in audio systems for GM. Nice, very nice Seville.

I had an ‘83 Eldorado as a driver for a few months, way back when. I remember the stupendous gas mileage that it got. The speed limit was 55 then. I remember getting 30 MPG on a trip.

How well I know those interiors. I saw the thumbnail that you had posted ,before actually clicking on the link. I had (2 ) 84 Cadillac Sedan DeVille's and( 1 ) 90 Cadillac Sedan DeVille . I Love Cadillacs ❤️ ... I recently purchased an 84 Cadillac Coupe DeVille, that I'm restoring... along with my '68 Pontiac LeMans and '78 Ford F-150 Camper Special Thanks for sharing!!

This was pure 1980s Cadillac. It was a sedan de ville with less room and trying to compete with BMW & MB. Kudos has to go to GM for allowing that trunk hump to make it to market.

Nice example of one of these. I like how this one is equipped with the d'Elegence tufted seats, but just the hard top -much cleaner look. I always assumed the top shelf units were always equipped with both - or at least a partial vinyl top, but it looks like someone wisely deleted it on this one. Looking forward to the full review Adam🙂

That’s so awesome, you just brought back a flood of memories for me as a 4yr old boy in 1983, when my father bought our family a 1981 Cadillac Eldorado. Same color as your Seville, but also had a tan soft top. I remember the dash and all those buttons and features! It was a beautiful car, but he hated the V6 motor in it.
