Unrelated topic. What is the condition I've heard you mention that makes pompano taste bad. Is it seasonal or can it occur any time?

They eat acorn worms, these worms make Pompano taste like iodine

Man I don’t even use live bait anymore. I just use straight fish gum. I’m here in northwest Florida panhandle and this has been my best year ever so far since i started using fish gum. It’s great and pomp go crazy for that stuff
