I am a mobile mechanic in northern Colorado, and yep I start about 10am in the winter and 6am in the summer

There is a video on KZfaq that shows how to rebuild them. It is just o rings that have to be replaced.

Yeah it was "The Carter Hour" that helped me do this repair years ago, I remember the o-ring size being a 007.

If it has the same EATC (electronic automatic temperature controller), then yes.

Hey buddy. I have a 1996 crown vic with the issue of compressor not working g due to that what you just took apart. Is that what's wrong with mine.?I took it to a garage they said that's what it was but could not find a. BRand new one FOR MINE. IT GETS SO HOT IN TENNESEE. It's not been working for about 5 years now I had everything put on brand new compressor and all components necessary to get the lifetime warranty qi need your help thank you.

The a/c compressor? Im not sure if the o-rings would have much to do with that. They are for selecting between temps and vents. Good luck!

@@RoadsideRescue he said he wired it direct the compressor. and it worked fine blew cold air. but he said it was the control unit on the inside. so that’s why i was wondering if that would fix mine thank you for replying to me. love your videos.

my jumper pack blew up that unit on my merc because the battery was totally dead and tried turning the engine over a whistle with smoke and aloud bang1989 merc still haven't got it fixed after three years the radio and acc heat nothing works the jumper lithium pack screwed it up it only has 40000 miles so sad and i have the dash wreaked
