Cutting a washer with a grinder to rest a shelf on it is a waste of time. Just drive a screw into the wood on each post, then set the shelf on top.

Drawing a straight line then drilling several holes on the line slightly smaller than 1" brads would definitely do better than that washer 1000%.

As an experienced foundation worker I can tell you that those power drills that drill into concrete or stone require 2 hands operate that means you got a buddy sitting there doing nothing but holding that cover to collect the dust which in most cases you can just sweep the dust-up or vacuum it up with a shop vac just as easy
@DevilHunter558 ай бұрын
As a homeowner with no experience working on foundations, I can tell you that too.

I can hold my hammerdrill one handed. Because it's sometimes necessary on a ladder to hold onto something to keep the ladder steady. But my hands might be stronger than most. Apparently.
@MirokuDelivers8 ай бұрын
@@Greg-io1ipwell I guess fortunately for you you have the home version which is probably the size of a DeWalt hand drill most commercial drills require two hands and OSHA would definitely throw a fine at the company if they notice you were trying to use it with one hand but the home version is not as powerful as the commercial version😅
