Here's some good news: The government is aware of the potential for flooding and is taking steps to mitigate it. They're issuing alerts to keep residents informed and sending out vacuum water trucks to remove excess water from streets. If you're visiting Merida during the wet season, it's a good idea to be aware of the forecast and to stay informed about any flood warnings that may be issued. You can also take precautions like avoiding low-lying areas and dressing for the weather 😌

The impact of the new Mayan Train on Merida's car traffic would depend on various factors, including the train route, station locations, and the convenience it offers compared to car travel. Generally, well-designed and accessible public transportation systems can reduce car traffic by providing a viable alternative. However, the specific influence would require a detailed analysis of the train's integration into Merida's transportation network and local commuting patterns. Merida has been investing $ in new transportation systems recently, the new Mayan train station is in Merida's outskirts and connects with the brand new E-tram (electric powered buses). These new transportation systems just had a soft opening, so they are not working 100% for now. We will report back more information about it 🙂🙂

I don´t like yucatecan land being talked like just an investment. It´s our land and it is being massacrated because of the real estate speculation promoted by so many. In few years the land, the state and the city wont remain like it is today because of all the promotion and speculation being done with the land.

Thanks for watching!👩🏼🧒🏻. It's cyclones season, and has been rainy. There have been some floods in certain avenues and streets, the government has been releasing alerts about it. Vacuum trucks constantly help to suck the water from the streets. Bring an umbrella!
