The best bit was when Mario said "Itsa me, Unfinished Frostbite Mario Mix" and then began to Unfinished Frostbite Mario Mix until Luigi couldn't take it anymore. Truly the Frostbite remix I have ever heard.

i thought it was beta luigi's mansion luigi, becuase he uses a luigi mansion voiceline in the beginning, and also that version of luigi has a droopy moustache. he probably used the star he gains in the mansion (theres an actual 'quest' in the game where you must find mario's belongings and one of them is a star) to try and find his brother, resulting in him being taken into mario's painting prison, where he finds what really happened to his brother after he failed to find him. this also explains why the star beside him in the song isnt taking him out. if the star was like a mario 64 star, he could just touch it to escape, but if its not doing that, it has to be the luigi mansion star, which does not take you to the castle or even grant you invincibility. the star granted him access inside the painting, but he has no way of getting out.

@@DisplacedDev well, in SM64 there are some stars that when you collect them you don't leave the level (100 coins stars) but I think you're right but I don't think there would be any coins in that place for Luigi to collect because following the logic of SM64, all Mario had to do was collect some to recover his health
