A funny coincidence that the "villain" of the Guilty Gear tournament was "N-Otoko" when the big villain of the GG series is "Anno Otoko/That Man"

Fun story: N-Otoko was invited to Sweden at the end of GGACs lifetime for a tournament. Money was raised somehow and one of the powerhouses of Sweden had been living in Japan as an exchange-student and made friends with the Kyoto-Osaka gang (NO, Dogura, Woshige etc.) so he came over. Inspired by the Bounty 4on4 there was a Bounty 3v3 tournament held with one key difference, NO was only permitted one life. It seems almost cruel to me that we put him through this in retrospect but we figured it was fair since he was such a legend to all of us in Sweden. It was double elimination where NO made it to the grand finals on the winner side. Up against him was the Swedish squad of Shinjin BA (the powerhouse exchange student), Xzi JA (known as The Beast of Sweden) and me, Yonasu SL (moral support). In the first game I think both me and Shinjin took one round off of NO before losing. Xzi managed to squeeze out a win and brackets where reset. In the end NO managed to beat us all and he took a huge breath of relief. I can tell you LordKnight that through the years of Accent core in Sweden many things happened and tons of inspiration was found amongst the japanese players but one fact ended up as a core truth to us: Woshige is a god. We were all heartbroken when the meme occured. We all wanted Woshige to get his glory at the international stage, but alas it was not meant to be. Great video and a fun concept to do more videos on! As a Slayer player the game between Hase and Kichi is one that I'll never forget. :D

Hey LK, maybe not the best vid to bring it up, but you pretty much singlehandedly got me interested to really try GG really hardcore for the first time in my life like 5 months ago. I started with Strive, then I wanted to know what I was missing from there, so I bought Rev 2 and Accent Core.... I practice every night as I'm also teaching myself leverless at the same time. Thanks man. It's been a real fun ride.

Great video. Think my favorite is still DbFZ Spain Grand Finals 2020. I forget the score, but Shanks needed one more win, Shank's UI v Gropis' Beerus. Beerus got put in corner, Gropis waited a bit, then DP'd. If you don't know, UI is invul to all projectiles during walk. Shanks "UI walked" through the DP like Ghostfreak and killed Beerus. Damascus, Tyrant, chat went absolutely nuts!!

Huge fan of you LK, always have been, but damn I don't get how you play Millia and sleep at night. I thought it was tough to fight Millia in Strive after she gets a knockdown - but apparently we have it pretty good right now because it was much, much worse. Sweet video though as always! Great matches - It's lovely listening to both of your experiences as FGC veterans. Good stuff :) ( sarcasm for the Millia bit ofc - I myself was a Nago main, before I switched to T8 where I now main Feng :D )

One of the best matches that stick out in my mind is ComboFiend vs Marn in UMvC3 at Final Round. I watched it live and it was one of the most hype moments ever, just the scream of "BIONIC AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARM" makes my hair stand on end. EDIT: Also, not having Chris Hu's commentary on that first Daigo v Jago match is criminal. "DA BEST BIPSON".

I honestly don't get why LK gets hype about this fight.... Millia (just as He said) is borderline designed to Beat Venom... If anything seen N-Otoko beating All previous games was Way more impressive, rather than just Millia winning a Winning Match up... Ps: I do agree Woshige deserves more respect

If someone brings up Go1 vs Leffin again im going to scream. As a hardcore DBFZ player that match gets way ro much attention and the game changed so much since then and the players have gotten so much better as well.

While I will agree with some of your points, I would say that Go1 vs Leffen is still hype as hell. It’s a similar thing they brought up with Jago vs Daigo. Yes the game has changed and player skill level has gone way up, but the hype and the moment to moment display of skill is still great! Truly an unforgettable match.

15:00 that's actually why I like mechanics like ultra. That ryu got too cocky, and tried to just guarantee a win with the chip. Mechanics like ultras are less so for bad players to win, at that top play, the players are all usually really good, is more so for the winning side to not get lazy

15:00 Exactly why rage arts fucking ruined tekken for me, it's soooooo much lamer than just outplaying your opponent multiple times with low hp. Ultras kinda suck too but ya know what can ya do
@SyRose901
@SyRose901 Ай бұрын
I do believe that Rage Arts prevent even lamer shit from coming out from the winning side when a comeback is about to brew. I do like comebacks with hard outplays more than Rage Arts, but I think Rage Arts making comebacks more common was ultimately better than winning side laming you out, or even BMing more often.
