Brother or someone from the comments. Please answer this question about atheism. I have been learning to give dawah from different sources and this ques to on has been so hard for me to find an answer. The question is 1) we who believe in god give various evidences of god for example the dependency argument. That every thing is dependent and we can’t have an infinite chain of dependent beings. There has to be an independent being which is god. But what if there can be an infinite chain because the universe is so vast and large. Maybe we can’t comprehend it in a human brain as we don’t know much about it. What if the universe came without god and the evidences we are giving aren’t valid with the universe because it is different. Thank you, assalamualaikum

Truthfully Isaiah 7:14 is not about Messiah.

This prophecy has many problems and has nothing to do with Jesus First of all, if we look at the Hebrew bible (the original language of the OT) we see that the word used for “virgin” is “almah”, BUT almah does not mean at all virgin, but it means “young woman”. “Bethulah” means “virgin”. In most of the versions of the bible, they have translated it as “virgin” because this fits with the prophecy. There are only a few biblical versions that have translated it correctly, for example the Revised Standard Version (RSV). Another problem with this prophecy is that this was fulfilled hundreds of years before Jesus.When we read the context from verse 1-17 we can see clearly that this prophecy has NOTHING to do with Jesus. This promise of God was fulfilled in 2 Kings 16:9 where it says: ”The king of Assyria complied by attacking Damascus and capturing it. He deported its inhabitants to Kir and put Rezin to death. So, this child was born, his mother called him Emmanuel and the Assyrians defeated the two kings that threatened Ahaz. So the prophecy was fulfilled here, many many centuries before the coming of Jesus. Here also it is given a limited time of this prophecy, and that is: “before the boy knows enough to reject the wrong and choose the right”. So this sign had to be something related with Ahaz and not 700 years after because if the success of Ahaz would have been after 700 years then the prophecy would have had no logic at all. Another problem with this prophecy is that nobody in his life didn’t call Jesus Emmanuel, nobody, not his mother, not his apostles, nobody, and on the other hand the prophecy says that this child will be called Emmanuel. Another problem here is that in Isaiah 7:15, 16 it says that he didn’t know the wrong and the right. If Christians say that Jesus is God, then how is it possible that God doesn’t know what is wrong and what is right??!! Some christian scholars say that this is a double prophecy, once this prophecy was fulfilled in the time of Isaiah and Ahaz and the second time with Jesus. But the problem is that christians say that this prophecy has to do with a virgin birth. If the birth of Jesus was the second virgin birth, then where is the first one? Will they accept another virgin birth??!!

But if you are invited, then enter ˹on time˺. Once you have eaten, then go on your way, and do not stay for casual talk. Such behaviour is truly annoying to the Prophet, yet he is too shy to ask you to leave. But Allah is never shy of the truth. That’s why the Lord God responded: “It shall not stand, Nor shall it come to pass. And than the sign follows: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.” 1. Muslims agree that Jesus is The Messiah (why 🤷🏼‍♂️) 2. Muslims agree that Jesus was born from a virgin (alma can also be a virgin) 3. Christians know that Jesus is: Immanuel => God with us That’s why this prophecy is about Jesus.

Jesus was EMMANUEL ( God with us) because Jesus is God. He said " I and the Father are one" (John 10:30). Jesus also said " Whoever has seen me has seen the Father”(John 14:9)

Why waste your time on chasing shadows in the bible? The Qur'an was revealed to give guidance to mankind. The Torah is not the one brought from Allah to Musa, so why waste your time trying to harmonise the bible with the Qur'an as if you can't accept the Qur'an without confirmation from the bible? Sir, Jesus (who is God) came and lived with us. " In the beginning was the WORD, the Word was with God in the beginning, the WORD WAS GOD”… “The WORD became flesh and came and dwelt among us” (John 1:14).
