Ok for those who are confused. Kohei was a new tenant who moved into the apartment complex, he had a disability and was on welfare. He was just a kindhearted person, struggling to find a job and make friends. You learn these things about Kohei via his diary notes as well as the notes from his mother. The other tenants in the building looked down on him for being disabled and on welfare and mistreated him terribly, despite him being respectful and kind. Kohei was then later murdered and his body was stuffed in the refrigerator. The landlord, who might possibly be the murderer, continued to collect the welfare being sent to Kohei. Kohei, now an enraged spirit, has cursed the apartment complex and took revenge on those who mistreated him. Ending 1. If you escape as the deliveryman, you report your findings to the police and the landlord is punished for his crimes. Ending 2. If you fail to escape, the deliveryman falls prey to Kohei's wrath as well as the landlord in the end. This is, at least from what I could piece together, the story behind the game.

all evidence was pointed to the landlord since in the ending 2, i can see the delivery man came into 404 (kohei's room) and the landlord found out through the camera. he's panicking. and then, he rushed into that room to cast out the 'intruder'. why? because it's where the 'tragedy' happened and supposed to not be found by anyone else. instead of meeting the delivery man in the room, the landlord realized that he was lured out by the 'ghost' of kohei and he got his revenge (by killing him). paused by the credit roll. after that, it turns out the delivery man was blank out and seeing 'things' during the process. by the "blank out" and "seeing things" i meant is something like, 'the ghost will tell you the truth" type of thing in the horror movies. because when that occured, he still got the 404's package on his possession. confused. he turned around and saw aikichi (the dog) standing right beside of him, thirsty. also the dog was chasing kohei's ghost so, it would be more make any sense. when he came back to kohei's room for the second time, he found the fridge filled with the body. he left the crime scene immediately and report this to the police. the police, arrest the landlord. and we got the first ending. that's a quick recap for what happened in this game from my point of view.

If you replay the elevator jumpscare, you'll notice that the figure is holding a knife. This scene depicted the last thing that Kohei saw when he was murdered.

In ending 1, if you stayed in the room, the refrigerator would open and you would see Kohei's body in it 😭

Yeah at first I thought you had to run out but turns out you don't, you can stay and sort of see the body in the refrigerator or leave & see the tenants outside staring in the windows. You'll get ending 1 regardless but it is interesting to see how it varies if you leave the apartment or not

Kohei Shiota's apparitions. 8:26 As you walk around the apartment complex, you notice a man playing with the same dog that you just gave water. When he notices you, he runs away, thinking you're going to make fun of him for his disability. 12:15 As you walk through the building's balcony, you notice the silhouette of a man peeking out the door of room 506. As soon as you approach it, the silhouette closes the door in your face. 15:34 As soon as you finish reading the letter, you notice a man watching you from the building's balcony. You stare at each other for a while and then you walk away, scared and wondering who that guy was. 36:45 Suddenly, you hear something knocking on the window beside you. You turn left and you see a man tapping the window of Room 402. You decide to open it, but as soon as you open it, the man runs into another room of the house.

If you listen closely at 8:35, 12:24, and 15:45, you can hear that guy(Kouhei) moaning. Also, look closely to his face, his mouth opens.

You can see in vids the dog only need water thrown by that man in the first delivery. Not dog food tho.

Confuses me too, it seems like Arisa from 305, Michiru from 401 and that drunk guy from 206 were all murdered by Kohei and dead all along. It's one of those they were always dead things. Perhaps after they did something to him (possibly stuffing his body in the freezer/fridge) his spirit killed them in return. I think it's Kohei, as the ghost monster at the end has a blue shirt and grey pants with bare feet like Kohei, at least I assume it's him as he is petting his dog 8:26, watching at 15:41 and taps on the window of 402 at 36:50
