You can use a polished metal surface as a "mirror". Instead of measuring the temperature of the metal, you measure the temperature of the reflection.

I got the same, and realy like it. I think the only thing I miss is to be able to use a fixed temperature range. The camera always auto adjust and you can miss details when one point is very hot or when you want to compare different locations.

The emissivity describes how much thermal radiation the material emits in relation to its temperature. When set incorrectly for a material your reported temperatures will be incorrect. Also, shiny surfaces will most likely report the wrong temperature.

theoretically you can disassemble camera connect a buzzer from the LED contacts .

Hi, are you still using this Thermal Imager? I've had bad thing happened to me, I just bought it and when I firstly charged it fully it started to make whistling sound and wouldn't turn on anymore. It died completely. I have two questions. How do I disable it? I haven't found any information on the internet, it has some sort of secret I think. It's very tricky or they did it like this on purpose. 2. Important question to me, I measured resistance between 5 volts and gnd on the Type C connector. It shows 200 to 210 ohms. It's not full short circuit, but close. If you have such a chance, can you tell what's your resistance? P.s still cannot understand how it could happen. It looks awesome. Amazing quality. Best brand. And it dies after first charge....
