Heey! Not gonna lie it was a STRUGGLE finding a part-time accounting job that would accept an international undergraduate student. I think I srsly applied to over 100 jobs until I found one that would invite me for an interview. My greatest tips would be to start off with an internship just to gain some accounting experience and add it to your cv. I did two unpaid internships before I got my job. And then just apply, apply, apply!!! Before I got my current job my thought processes was:“if I apply to 100 jobs I’ll at least get one interview” hahah. Just hang in there!!

Hey gurl!!! Sorry for the late reply! I started writing something but I deleted it because don't want to bash the uni too hard before I graduate ahahhaha. Australian universities in general are not very challenging if you compare them to universities in e.g. Europe. I have only studied on a university level in Australia so I wouldn't know myself but that's what I have heard from exchange student I have met at UTS. Most of them are SHOCKED at how low the quality of education is at UTS compared to their European unis. If you are planning on doing marketing, don't worry about the work being too challenging!!!! IT'S SOOOOO EASY. The only thing that would be challenging is all the group work you have to do in the marketing major. Since the marketing major is considered an 'easy' major (compared to e.g. accounting or finance) it tends to attract a lot of slackers hehe. I would say if you have the opportunity (cause they are fkn expensive hahah) - go for USYD or UNSW instead. It is harder to get into those unis so the students are more motivated (generally speaking) which makes the classes more challenging. At the UTS business school, I find that the majority of students do not give a sh*t about uni and are just forced to go to uni by their parents so they just do the bare minimum. Going to uni after high school is the norm here in Australia so the students are KIDS and a lot of them are not ready for university in my opinion. Then there is also a lot of international students that literally do not speak English. Do not ask me how they manage to graduate cause I have no idea ahhaha. So I think the combo of unmotivated 17yr old students fresh out of high school and international students that do not speak English lowers the quality of the education at UTS business school and makes it less challenging. Cause the lecturers and tutors have to adapt to these people and make sure that they satisfy their pass/fail quotas if you know what I mean. I hope that answered your question! xx

Manuela Ramirez No worries gurl!! I think Macquarie is a great choice! It’s cheaper than UTS, USYD and UNSW and I’ve heard that the student life is LIT hahah. I Macquarie also offers a pretty generous scholarship for international students s definitely look into that! 💃🏾💃🏾 when it comes to the difficulty of the course I think it’s the same as UTS but HEY at least you get a social life 😂
