I think you are wrong on recommending a mobile scanner vs. a base unit. The SDS 200 has a LAN port, connects to Proscan via LAN and can broadcast audio across the Internet if you need that. However, the greatest advantage is the larger screen and button layout, making it preferable in a semi permanent home or vehicle installation. I use my home SDS200 to find and record transmissions - and have ordered a SDS100 for mobile use - which will be programmed using data captured with the SDS200

Wish they put the LAN port on the BACK of the SDS200...mine looks ridiculous with the thick LAN cable coming out the front and having to loop around the back of my desk. SUPER CLEAN audio through the LAN, the hum/buzz is simply an audio amp issue with the speaker and 3.5mm output jacks.

I agree, it looks like there's plenty of real estate on the back of the scanner, so yeah...seems like a design flaw.

Or at least support for an external USB to Ethernet adapter! Or perhaps built in WiFi!

Trying to sell @ $700 base unit and you can not even power it up and show the screen display. WOW

$699.99 is the MAP pricing. We don't charge more than anyone else. Both scanners have the same screen display, so I didn't see the point of powering it up. This is just a short video with a few talking points. We'll take a deeper dive in new videos.

No. Or at least not a noticeable difference. They are very loud.

There away u can adjust ur Mic kinda low great through headphones tho i still have the whistler Ws1095 scanner works great still 3 years later wish they can provide more updated 4 it like nextedge n dmr n pro voice be nice 2

Adjust the mic on your WS1095 or in the video? Yeah, that'd be nice, but the WS1095 is obsolete in the eyes of Whistler, so they won't attempt to improve a product that has plateaued.

I know in my area is phase 1 n phase 2 VHF HIGH N UHF PHASE 1 800 PHASE 2 SCANNER STILL HANDLES IT WELL TELL I NEED TO UPGRADE I HAVENT HAD A SCANNER UPGRADE N 3 YEARS. ALMOST SINCE I BOUGHT THAT AT THE TIME FOR 500$ IN ITS STILL 500😁😂
