I love that so many people are still considering physical keyboard phones in 2023!

If Blackberry were to drop a similar phone with proper marketing and hype, it would sell like crazy. The smartphone market is changing, people want different, unique phones. Every other slab of glass is boring.

I'm basically leaving a message to try to reinforce the message to suppliers that there IS demand for physical keyboard phones. I have not had the full qwerty but had several rugged phones--Kyocera Duras, Samsung Rugby, etc. I was mightily peeved about the discontinuation of 3G service. I want a reliable phone that does basic things well and I HATE touchscreens. I would also like to be able to check email and buy and sell stocks when traveling. Thank you for being an ambassador for one of the only options left for me. I hope this little slice of market space will not lose anymore ground. If it shrinks anymore, I will be out of options.

I was a BlackBerry only user until 2011 when I switched to iPhone 4. Came back for BlackBerry Passport, KeyOne and KeyTwo. I had the original Titan and loved it. It was the Android Passport that we never got. Now Titan Pocket takes me back to my old BB Bold days. Love this phone for what it is. Could be thinner, but I am not complaining. Could have smaller bezels with more screen space, but it is still good enough. The Titan Slim isn't impressing me and I have yet to see a review that has convinced me to buy one. I think the closest BlackBerry experience right now is the Pocket.

I thoroughly enjoy how you review lesser known devices and you keep us updated on the long term usage. You fill a needed niche for tech reviews!

The best part is that there is a community member who is working on ports of Lineage OS 20 for it to get the latest Android with recent security patches! He's also working on a Titan Slim port, and there's already a fully working Titan OG port!

Good to hear that titan pocket is well and good in 2023. Thinking of getting this phone

Thank you for this thorough review! How is your experience with the GPS while using google maps? I have Unihertz Jelly 2 and the GPS is terrible at maintaining my exact location. This is my biggest complaint with the Jelly 2.. I hope this is not the case with the titan pocket since I am considering it as my next phone.

I wish they would make it smaller. I am still using my BB Bold just texting and calling!. And loving it!…

I'm definitely getting the next one IF they make it just a touch slimmer.

How do you feel about putting banking apps on it?

I just got this phone as I feel all other phones seem to be just a black slab ..I was looking for a phone with character and a bit of retro to it but keeping the ability to keep android..looking forward to my unboxing

I want the titan ! Is it going to get an updated android 11? Or is it useless to get w a at&t? I loved my passport. Please guys make that big one faster

I love this form factor however, I should have gotten the Slim. More screen for my eyes lol. The pocket is still a great device to use. I would like to see a new keyboard device from Unihertz.

I wish there was still a huge market for these. I still think there is room to fit a surface duo like design that can have a keyboard. Even the priv, there is something there.

i am really a qwerty phone fan and i really love it considering my thumbs and finger is much bigger and keypad was a comfortable solution for typing.. unihertz Wow me for their phones especially the tank 2 with built in projector, but what matter me most is the 5G capability of it.. i think Unihertz should upgrade the features to it's phone considering the price and the future proof phone.. "It's a little mushier than the BlackBerry counterparts." I have the Titan Slim and it's clicky, love it, had to go back to KeyOne as the Slim needs a repair. Definitely KeyOne is mushy with no tactile response. So where does this fall in line? I have heard the keyboard is not as good as the Titan Slim but is it clicky comparable to say the Key 2? (A note about Unihertz, their service and tech department via email have been great and responsive to my issue - in case people are worried about a boutique phone company that you will have trouble getting support...not the case with Unihertz)

does the google wallet, pay app work on this in 2023?

Is it little bit water resistant or do I have to absolutely baby it if caught in a drizzle? Also, what's the last security update for this phone? Considering buying one.

Im caught in between the titan original and the pocket, i have relatively small hands, and im a bit put off by the original, i dont want it have to two hand it, but im wondering if the pocket would have too small of a screen even for me, who holds the screen 4 inches from my face

Do you know if they’re going to release a new physical keyboard phone this year ? I don’t like the Titan Slim, I’m looking for essentially a blackberry bold in terms of functionality. Hesitating between Titan and Titan Pocket: I prefer the durability and ruggedness of the Titan but it does look chunky and it’s a bit old. If they bring ou the Titan 2 I’m signing up ASAP !

This is the closest thing I've found to what I am looking for. I want good call quality and a physical qwerty keyboard. That's it really. The biggest drawback for me with the Unihertz Titan phones is that they are smartphones and have touch screens. I would love to find something that doesn't have a touchscreen and just the physical QWERTY keyboard. If anyone has suggestions for a QWERTY dumbphone that is compatible with US carriers, let me know.
