I have Unilever but only a small holding so far that I will be adding to the end of this month. They are indeed paying down debt and do have growth potential. I do believe they tried unsuccessfully to purchase haleon. I like this stock and unlike p&g, there's no withholding tax on the dividend so there is that.

I have held ULVR in the past and I think you are correct on the Haleon attempt.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have been toying with doing that type of comparison video and the prompt convinced me to just do it - there you go, Nike v Adidas, might go on the list

What's so great about unilever dividend yield. If the price goes down, the yield increases.

I hold Unilever and I've looked long and hard at P&G but as is the case with many US stocks I feel that P&G is overvalued despite what SWS says and I loathe paying the withholding tax and losing that little bit in the exchange rate both ways. That said, if T212 allowed my ISA to hold foreign currency (like it does with its general trading account) that might make enough of a difference to take the plunge in US stocks

The PG and withholding tax is also an issue for me. I must admit i pains me to pay the tax on some of the US stocks in the portfolio. I wonder if it will be something that T212 think about given the fact that there may be a bit of a shift away on ETF purcahses if you can hold numerous S&S ISAs next year
