The color was a surprise as I was betting on matt red but I really like how the sand color makes all the cabin curves so visible and beautiful. This Unimog will definitely be noticed and admired on the road.

I'm a paint amateur, but I spray a thin coat of water on the floor before I paint. I think it helps both with the dust from the floor and the paint dust. But your finish result was good anyway, I like the colour.

An interesting idea for a color scheme... Tonka yellow. With black trim. Maybe a little TONKA decal on the bed.

Thats a good color choice. And probably even not too far off from what you could have ordered back then. RAL 1011 was a standard choice. I cant understand why everybody wants to have a standard green unimog either. Yes a huge portion of those mogs came with it from the factory. But it was quite special back than that you could choose the colour on a tractor and many did choose different colors. But so many if them get painted green too. Especially when they were orange, because orange sadly drops your value. But there were many cool colour choices to be had back then. Mine is in a "standard blau" which was a more expensive option. So im gonna keep thst. Although i quite fancy the kiselgrau. On thinge i understand: bright and shiny colours can be annoying on the inside, if your whole interior is thaz color.

A lot of the different models of mogs over the years seem to be painted in different pastel colours I believe this shade always suits the shape and it what you get use to seeing 🇬🇧🇮🇪.

this one will look good when done! just painted my humvee the same color , but semi-gloss. Tan is a color that comes in handy when you are unsure what color you want , cause it will suit almost everything! 😎

I've always admired your work, you are such inspiration and the one to blame for me going from functional to full restoration of my 421. I've always had a penchant for desert colors, but they can be a pain since all your greasy fingerprints will stand out on that desert beige. I have the LR G4 Challenge Orange in mind for mine.

It is currently 3:13 am here in SaintP, but i'm watching this anyway. We've been waiting for it for a HOT minute, and damn - this color does suit it very well. Also - it's a special kind of joy to watch this work being done with so much attention to detain and diligence. Also2 - love the music.

The colour suites the Mog really well. Personally I would have gone for a semi-gloss finish as it’s that bit easier to keep clean. Nice though!

That floor...:) I made the mistake of thinking it was a good idea to spray a motorcycle frame in my bathroom. And ofcourse i did not cover everything...

Don't forget a ceramic coating and Rhino bed liner, you want to keep it beautiful for as long as possible.

I was expecting green but this color is nice too. Maybe just a little light though. I would have gone for a bit darker towards a shade of caramel. But all and all a great job as usual which is why I enjoy all of your videos. Can't wait for the next one.

That's a similar colour to the Steyr Haflinger I had a few years ago, it looks good and is easy to live with and a few scratches from use make it look even better😁PS, you can use string to "Pull" the windscreen rubber into place from the inside.

Really, really curious to hear your verdict on whether the stone chip paint helps with reducing the resonance/vibration of the panels. After doing my Niva last year and very, very generously spraying it with stone chip paint it was a lot more quiet than expected (with absolutely all sound deadening removed) and with my new project, a Suzuki SJ410, I wonder if I should go down that route again as it is even more rattly and tinny than the Lada was.

Those new silent compressors I am not a fan of, all rubber diaphragms and universal motors, guaranteed to break after only a short while, and also unlikely to have much spare parts back up either. Yes oil less design, but also a tank that is not designed to last long either, made from thin steel that will rust through after a few years as well. But probably not going to last that long anyway.

Kool. Now you have an American Unimog in Desert Storm colour. ( ; A bit more pale than I'd have expected and 10% of our military ones are that colour for the navy and airforce who also have a blue that looks horrid. Some of our service fleet in the army are about that colour also. It is hard to make vehicles green IMHO. It feels more wannabe (" want to be") than owning a Harley Davidson.
