Whenever I’ve had it done with a manicure or pedicure, the esthetician covers the area in a really thick layer of moisturizer before the wax. The wax contains moisturizing oils and ingredients as well.It’s warm so your skin heats up, pores open, and all the good hydrating ingredients absorb much better. It’s very relaxing and after your skin feels amazingly soft.

@@jabosolar If it’s done before the paint, the nails are wiped off with acetone to remove all the oils. That’s usually how I have had it done but I suppose you could do it after.

They also use this wax at physical therapy sessions. As someone who enjoys dipping their finger in candle wax for fun and also who’s has their hand dipped for occupational therapy, i can tell you they are completely different types of wax.

It's not candle wax, slightly different wax with moisturizing properties 😊

yeah if you shuffle words around enough, anything can sound bad. it may be derived from crude oil but it is not bad for you, is nontoxic and even edible (to a certain degree)

But so is using lotion every night before bed.lol The point is, there are people that'll do it because it's probably something they've never done and it relaxes them, and then there are people that'll go to a salon that'll charge them $150 for it, and they'll buy into it.
