Dimension :
Max Width : 10 cm.
Length : 74 cm.

This set is massive !!!!! I really enjoyed building it. But I haven't try it on Lego curve track, not sure can it turn with this length or can it be motorized?. I will make another video for it.
Good set and great for display.

The Union Pacific Big Boy is a type of simple articulated 4-8-8-4 steam locomotive manufactured by the American Locomotive Company (ALCO) between 1941 and 1944 and operated by the Union Pacific Railroad in revenue service until 1962.
The 25 Big Boy locomotives were built to haul freight over the Wasatch mountains between Ogden, Utah and Green River, Wyoming. In the late 1940s, they were reassigned to Cheyenne, Wyoming, where they hauled freight over Sherman Hill to Laramie, Wyoming. They were the only locomotives to use a 4-8-8-4 wheel arrangement: four-wheel leading truck for stability entering curves, two sets of eight driving wheels and a four-wheel trailing truck to support the large firebox.
Today, eight Big Boys survive, with most on static display at museums across the country. One of them, No. 4014, was re-acquired by Union Pacific and rebuilt to operating condition from 2014 to 2019 for the 150th anniversary of the First transcontinental railroad, regaining the title as the largest and most powerful operating steam locomotive in the world. Same here, I only use official Lego, plus a lot of non-Lego sets use illegal building techniques. But with some tidying up the instructions for this set could be used to build Big Boy.

@@Drnken229 Lego does that! (well, except for the prices) and they are good quality, unlike SOME other lego rip-offs. I have the powered up lego passenger train, a lot of architecture sets, some other ones, the millenium falcon, the Art world map (still in progress) etc... And, they're good quality. (I already said that but you get the point, though some other lego spoofs are actually good quality, like the one being showed.

Just built this set yesterday and also have it on my desk next to the Emerald Night. Out of all the pffbrand lego big boy mocs this one is probably the best scaled to minifigures and other lego trains. The one from bluebrixx I also have is too small and long. And others are far more expensive. Does have a few issues though as the silver pipes on mine also didn't stay on. The Nifeliz version is nice as it not only comes with the instruction book but also a printed box with the loco on the cover and fold out carboard bins to sort the numbered bags into.

@@njfox3305 Yes. The Big Boy, or 4000 series is larger than the Challenger, or 3000 series. The wheel arrangement of the Big Boy is 4-8-8-4, and the Challenger is 4-6-6-4. Another amazing and interesting American steam locomotive worth investigating is the Southern Pacific AC-12 cab forward. Just like the Challenger and Big Boy locomotives, it was an articulated design, and its wheel configuration was 4-8-8-2. It basically looked like a steam locomotive that was operating with its cab at the front, and with a tender in the rear. It was able to operate in this configuration because it burned fuel oil that was pumped through a pipe from the tender to the firebox in the cab at the front at a low pressure. If it burned coal, it wouldn't have been a practical design. This unusual design was utilized because this particular locomotive was used in the Sierra Nevada mountains, and it traveled along a route that passed through long, covered snow sheds and tunnels. Because the cab was at the front and the smoke stack was at the rear, it protected the crew from being suffocated by the smoke. Sadly, only one of them was preserved from being scrapped, and it's not currently in operating condition. It currently resides at the California Railroad Museum in Sacramento, California.

@@jacobforsman3897 True they look simulare but the specs are indead different although they both had the same purpose dureing WW2 halling large amounts of cargo across the US quite fasinating. It still bathles me to this day how a steam locomotive of such design could make it round corners.

You would get a much better quality model with more intriguate details and realism. You get what you pay for.

This ain't Lego chief. It's knock off Garbo from China.

@@general_hammond if it uses building bricks that doesnt mean its knock off lego

@@davidecarucci1073 I never said that if it uses building bricks it's knock off Lego. The product in the video is, however, as it is advertising is distinctly similar to Lego and the name itself could be considered a parody of "Lego." The product in the video is a poor quality "brick alternative" from China that attempts to imitate Lego but at a cheaper cost. In my books, that's considered a "knock-off."

The thumbnail is so good that I literally thought it's not a Lego set, it's just some high quality miniature model. 😳

ive studied it and, yes you can motorize it, there are spaces where you place the motors, and the gears lead down to the wheels.
