Not gonna lie considering How much common sense Amethyst lacked For trying to tackle Sherman Hill without a diesel is a recipe for disaster , especially when an engine like him is pushing 80 years old. You can tell that he is in for trouble. Also He should have known that those Hoppers are far heavier than what he hauled back on the UP decades ago.

I am honestly not surprised that Union Pacific Locomotive F,E,F, 4-8-4 northern model Two number 8,2,5, unit number 24 repeated the same mistake, except with freight instead of passenger. P.S. how fast was 825 going before you put on the brakes when filming the part where amethyst sees the red signal?
